@HumanEarth That's the best
Thevy29 · 41-45, M
@HumanEarth Francis has 7 films though…
HumanEarth · F
I think Ma & Pa does to
I like the Blade Trilogy.
AthrillatheHunt · 56-60, M
@JadedOwl yesss! (I do a pretty good kris chris impression “they lied to us blade !”)
Lord of the Rings. I could watch them all and then literally start over again or go straight into Star Wars.
@SleepingWithGhosts literally all of them. top to bottom. i'm absolutely not a star wars snob or an anything snob unless it's death note.🤷🏾♀
SleepingWithGhosts · 46-50, M
@DancingStarGoddess I am definitely a Star Wars snob. In my mind, episodes VII-IX don't even exist, lol. But I hope when you do watch them, you also include Rogue One because it's a masterpiece.
@SleepingWithGhosts i gathered from you asking in general, but snobbery when it comes to movies, music etc doesn't tend to appeal to me in the slightest. i CAN say i am not really a fan of "reboots" though.
Burnley123 · 41-45, M
I'd say The Dark Night but I don't like the first one..
So.... Star Wars. The old ones

@Burnley123 The prequels aren't bad either from the political perspective. Especially if you compare to the status quo
Burnley123 · 41-45, M
@Elessar The Disney era prequels are entertaining fanboy fodder. The millennial ones are turd.
Sorry but it's what I think.

Elessar · 31-35, M
@Burnley123 Disney sequels* are illogical yeah
The prequels get a lot of hate but the plot is (for the most part) sound, so is the world building, aesthetic/CGI (they still look pretty good in 2026 imo)
The O.T. has its cheesy moments too, especially episode 6. Overall the franchise as a whole has its flaws, but I've always liked it regardless (:

GerOttman · 70-79, M
Azimov's Foundation trilogy. It was a long read but held my interest all the way through. I've been meaning to read it again.
SleepingWithGhosts · 46-50, M
@GerOttman I need to read those. I love his other work, they're just so damn long, and I get easily distracted, lol.
Gumbodidlo · 61-69, C
@GerOttman if you like azimov, look out for E E Doc Smith, similar era but some good series 👍
whowasthatmaskedman · 70-79, M
Definitely Lord of the Rings...😷
MrSmartyPants · 46-50, M
Fassbinder's BRD trilogy is my pick, which includes
The Marriage of Maria Braun
Veronika Voss

Noah9780 · 26-30, M
@SleepingWithGhosts Those are really good as well
SleepingWithGhosts · 46-50, M
@Noah9780 The best! Followed by Star Wars episodes IV-IV. Then LOTR.
Lopaka55 · 70-79, M
@SleepingWithGhosts
You misspelled "Dark City." 🙂 The Matrix even used Dark City's sets a year later. Find the Director's Cut so the voiceover doesn't spoil the mystery for you.

The original 3 Indiana Jones
Lopaka55 · 70-79, M
Maybe pick the best movie from each group, remove the lessest one, and then have an all-star evening or day? :)
HijabaDabbaDoo · F
Lord of the rings bore me. I saw one batman movie, the most recent one and that was also meh. I've never seen back to the future.
I follow marvel quite a bit so captain America for sure

Terminator 1, 2 and 3. We all know it's a trilogy and anything after T3 is non-canon fan fiction.
Prison1203 · 61-69, M
John wick although it’s a four film movie
Lostpoet · M
Rocky
BlueSkyKing · M
How about "The Naked Gun" or "The Thin Man"?
AthrillatheHunt · 56-60, M
It’s tough to find a trilogy where all 3 movies slay. Maybe the hangover , guardians of the galaxy ? I’m seeing super troopers 3 tomorrow.
TabbooDad · 36-40, M
Evil Dead/Army of Darkness
GeistInTheMachine · 31-35, M
The World War trilogy is shaping up quite well, even though the third iteration is still in the early stages. The trailers look pretty good, though, so I'm hopeful they won't mess it up.
RedBaron · M
Not every story is a trilogy.
Picklebobble2 · 61-69, M
Have to give a shout for the Jason Bourne series.
I know there are four movies sharing the name but Bourne as a character is only in three.
The Cornetto trilogy.
This is the Simon Pegg/Nick Frost/Edgar Wright productions.
Shaun of the dead.
Hot fuzz.
World's end.
None of them linked but creatively done on tight budgets.

@Picklebobble2 Shaun of the dead is an amazing movie ⭐
I really loved Dog House too! It wasn't a Simon Pegg film but it's one of my faves and kind of a zombie comedy.

Weekend at Bernie's or maybe Jackass. ..Naked Gun?
Idk really. There aren't any movie franchises that were good enough to make 3 of. If I could never have to watch the third one, I'd say Godfather. If i could throw out 2 and 3, I'd say the Matrix. 🤔but I think they made four of those, in which case, I'd toss number 4 also, however, i might keep the last one due to all the local references.
Oh shit! Pirates of the Caribbean. How many of those do they make? At least three, huh? If there are more, I'll just take the three best
