What is the deal with the new show white movie

I never had an intention of seeing this film but am intrigued by all the fuss it has created and the lead actress, Rachel Zegler has been very poor in her approach to publicity. I have read and watched many reviews of Snow White (for comedy reasons) and the consensus of opinion was that Zegler's acting and singing was spot on, so it's not particularly her fault that it is a bad film. The head of Disney Bob Iger seems to be throwing everybody under the bus about how poor this film is when he is ultimately responsible for this and every other film being produced under his stewardship.

I have no interest in seeing it for several reasons.
Mostly because i hate that no one has an original idea anymore, why do they have to keep remaking classics? Its just lazy.
Besides that, they always try to change and modernize things that dont need to be changed.
I get not wanting to offend someone, but at a certain point you end up offending everyone exvept the people you were trying to appease.

and secondly, I dont know if the movie is as "woke" as it was being called and dont really care, but how they yreated some issues and theier stars didnt sit right with me. For example, But rachel ziegler went ultra snow white zilla and demanded they make all kinds of changes because the original disney film was "masogynistic, racist anti woman, exploiting dwarves and a bunch of other crap and disney just went along with her.
However, Gina Carano made her feelings on certain issues known, none of which had anything to do with Disney or the show she was on, and disney P.R. publicly slandered her and fired her over twitter.
THAT speaks volumes about the company and is why i have no desire to see this movie.

It took me a second to realize that you were saying Snow White. I was reading the word Show and thought it was a series. I haven't seen it yet

I don't think I'm the target audience. I saw some glimpses of Disney live action movies before and just didn't like it.

My daughter, who is 18, went to see it. She thought it was ok, nothing great. But what made her mad is that Dopey talked!

Is that the one where Snow White isn't white and the dwarfs aren't dwarfs?

Apparently there was anger that Ziegler is playing a white character but... am I crazy? Is she not white herself?

Snow Woke? It deserves to suffer the ridicule it does.
