I classify Pygmalion as a romantic comedy.

Leslie Howard ( the simp Ashley from GWTW) and Wendy Hiller are in top form as Prof Higgins and Eliza Doolittle in this 1930's effort

The League of Gentlemen and Spaced are favourites.

The Carry On films are ones that I just remember seeing as a child because we only had three options of Sunday afternoon TV....
There were a lot of great British comedies. l remember watching a few of Norman Wisdom movies, he was hilarious.
The Square Peg, Stitch in Time and The Early Bird.
darkmere1983 · 46-50, M
i loved the carry on films as well, i agree the 60s ones were great but some of the magic was lost in the later ones for some reason.
