Are the hearing aid people trying to cash-in on this? Like your significant other walks in the room all "turn that down what are you deaf?" and after many times of this decides you need a hearing aid.

yes. this is by design to gain your attention. i don't see commercials anymore but i guess that bs is still legal

Not just that but the light is brighter. Like they have a white background.

For the sound though, sometimes it is loud to the point of distortion, like when you turn a radio up too loud.

YESSS! I've ALWAYS pointed this out. I'd immediately have to lower the volume as soon as a commercial came on. They do that intentionally so that you can still hear if you walk away, I suppose.

That is done intentionally. They have legal limits to how loud they can run them, but since when did the media follow any laws?

Youtube videos do that all the time.🗣️😖 A portion of the video is so low in volume you can't make it out, then it suddenly blows out your speakers and your eardrums.🤬🤬

They do that to stand out. Also, some commercials are intentionally irritating. Ever notice? It's so you remember them.

In the olden days of TV, they made that illegal. But the fines were easy. So it kept happening. Now that it is not on broadcast television they can do whatever they want.
