Has anyone else noticed that sometimes commercials are louder then the tv show or movie that is actually on?

yes. this is by design to gain your attention. i don't see commercials anymore but i guess that bs is still legal

@SW-User It's a pretty dumb technique because it only makes you want to shut down the TV or switch to another channel
SW-User
@Elessar exactly. a better way would be to be barely audible. it's common knowledge humans want what they can't have, not what is shoved in their face

@SW-User huh how do you not see them?
SW-User
@Hanginginthere no cable tv and third party blockers on all devices

@SW-User hmm 🤔
Ontheroad · M
@SW-User Yep, and many years ago they had televisions that autocorrected for that.
SW-User
@Ontheroad but they kill all the good things
Ontheroad · M
@SW-User I think they still have them on some higher-end models. Used to be it wasn't an added cost, but more a feature to sell more televisions of a particular brand.
SW-User
@Ontheroad i wouldn't know about it but that makes sense. i heard there were also tvs that auto-muted commercials. wonder if that's for sale now too
Ontheroad · M
@SW-User No, the folks producing and paying for the production of the commercials got the tech outlawed.
SW-User
@Ontheroad surprised they didn't get the mute button taken off remotes 😅
Ontheroad · M
@SW-User Shhh, don't give them any ideas! 😁
