"Death Becomes Her", one of the earliest all-in CGI movies, was so bad it was nearly the only movie I ever walked out on while watching in the theater. Perhaps I am just a cheapskate or perhaps I just love the cinema too much, but for whatever reason I just let this disaster roll over me to the bitter end.

I have never had the slightest desire to give it a second chance.

The Clan of the Cave Bear.

While the book is a true masterpiece (by Jean M. Auel) and is one of the most beloved novels in the USA, the movie is , well, if there was a scale, like 0 horrible 10 perfect, at least -100. THAT BAD. It was such a disgrace.
I maybe could watch ten minutes and it was enough torture.
LadyBronte · 56-60, F
@LunadelobosIAMTHEDRAGON I think I only actually saw the first Lord of the Rings movie. As I recall, I enjoyed it, but for some reason lost interest in the rest of the series.
@LadyBronte The second movie for me, was the worst of the three. Too much fighting and horrible things and orcs!🤮

The return of the king was my favourite.

The fellowship was my second favourite.
LadyBronte · 56-60, F
@LunadelobosIAMTHEDRAGON Glad I didn't go on with them then!
FreeSpirit1 · 51-55, F
Under the Cherry Moon with Prince.
I love Prince but that movie sucked donkey dick.
DrWatson · 70-79, M
@FreeSpirit1 My wife dragged me to that thing, because she is a big Prince fan. Afterward, even she admitted that the movie was horrible.
LadyBronte · 56-60, F
@FreeSpirit1 To be honest, after I saw Purple Rain...I couldn't bear to watch any more Prince movies. I didn't like it at all. Lol. But he was a very talented guy and I loved his music!
braveheart21 · 61-69, M
Battlefield Earth with John Travolta 🤦‍♂️🤦‍♂️🤦‍♂️
braveheart21 · 61-69, M
Lol... Seriously the movie couldn't have been worse even if i hadn't read the book... It's so bad it showed once then disappeared 🤦‍♂️🤦‍♂️🤦‍♂️@LadyBronte
LadyBronte · 56-60, F
@braveheart21 Lol. That IS bad!
braveheart21 · 61-69, M
Lol.. Damn right... Even Travolta never talks about it 🤦‍♂️😂😂😂@LadyBronte
Canuckle · 51-55, M
The Human Centipede was the worst one I watched. Horrible
LadyBronte · 56-60, F
@Canuckle That sounds completely disgusting!! Ugh!
Canuckle · 51-55, M
@LadyBronte it was.
Queendragonfly · 31-35, F
Those I don't remember the title or plot off because that's how bad they were. Stay away!
Fairydust · F
Eraserhead gave me nightmares!

I don’t normally watch stuff like this, my brother had it on when I was younger, worst movie ever.
LadyBronte · 56-60, F
I didn't know that. I actually liked Twin Peaks. It was odd, but interesting. @Fairydust
Fairydust · F
@LadyBronte I think it is if I remember rightly.
LadyBronte · 56-60, F
@Fairydust Well, if it is....he definitely did better the second time around!
DrWatson · 70-79, M
I don't remember the title. It was a French film, from the 1970's, about a car show in Paris.

The cars that were due to arrive for the show were all stuck in traffic at various places in the city.

The movie alternated between scenes of traffic jams with cars honking their horns and scenes of the woman in charge of the show pacing around, looking at her watch, and swearing.

I suppose it was very artistic 🙄
LadyBronte · 56-60, F
@DrWatson Haha. That sounds dreadful!
DrWatson · 70-79, M
@LadyBronte Yep. I didn't even pay enough attention to pick up some swear words in French!
MasterDvdC · 61-69, M
Starship Troopers
GerOttman · 61-69, M
@MasterDvdC The book was the worst Heinlein book I ever read! Hands down, I've loved everything else he's written. There was another stinker called Stainless Steel Rat that came close. I think that one was his too.
LadyBronte · 56-60, F
Never saw that one. Didn't feel I missed anything. @MasterDvdC
SW-User
@MasterDvdC OMG Starship Troopers was hilarious! The actors knew the only way they could sell the movie was to go overboard on the cheese factor, and it worked a treat!
GerOttman · 61-69, M
Armageddon! Let's blow up a big ass asteroid... Yeah, that'll work!
LadyBronte · 56-60, F
@GerOttman Haha. While not a favorite, I did find that one entertaining.

Superhero Movie
LadyBronte · 56-60, F
@UKNaturist Never saw that one. Glad I missed it. Lol.
UKNaturist · M
@LadyBronte - horrendous film, badly acted - no saving graces whatsoever
LadyBronte · 56-60, F
@UKNaturist I will stay away from it. Lol.
windinhishair · 61-69, M
Bad Ronald was a 1974 TV movie: A perverted teenage boy who lives in the walls of a house finds the house sold to a family after his mother dies, then he falls for one of the new residents.

It is so bad that I've heard of people watching it for that reason.
originnone · 61-69, M
@windinhishair I remember Bad Ronald like yesterday. It was really good imo. He's a character I hear brought up on occasion.
DallasCowboysFan · 61-69, M
@windinhishair Plan 9 from Outer Space is regarded as one of the worst moves of all time, at least the 50's. The plot, acting and special effects are weak, but that Is why I watched it.

Ed Wood is regarded as one of the worst directors of all time, but I guess he had fun doing what he did.

A movie was made about him, a few years ago. He had an interesting life.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/File:Plan_9_Alternative_poster.jpg
LadyBronte · 56-60, F
@windinhishair OMG. That movie has given me nightmares my entire life. Haha. After I watched it as a kid - I had nightmares there was someone living in the walls looking out at us through the vents. Hahaha! *shudders* @DallasCowboysFan I remember the name of that movie, but I never saw it! Sounds like it was really bad!
Bignakedguy · 31-35, M
Anybody who is reading this- don’t waste your time on the paranormal activity movies. And if you watched them when they came out, I’m sorry but you wasted your hard earned money and valuable time.
LadyBronte · 56-60, F
OMG! A friend wanted to watch one of those crappy things. I think I made it 10 minutes and begged off and left. What an entire waste of time!!!!
@Bignakedguy
Bignakedguy · 31-35, M
@LadyBronte I tried watching the 2nd one. I got so bored to the point I got pissed lol
LadyBronte · 56-60, F
@Bignakedguy I never watched a second one after not finishing the first.
DallasCowboysFan · 61-69, M
Eraserhead was an odd movie, for sure.
Gusman · 61-69, M
Eegah, 1962 Horror Movie. Often voted one of the worse films of all time. Now a Cult Favourite.
Watchable purely to see how bad it can actually get. I tell you, it gets worse as it goes along.
LadyBronte · 56-60, F
@Gusman I've never heart of that - I'll have to look it up. If it's a cult favorite now - it might be a hoot.
Gusman · 61-69, M
@LadyBronte I got it from my library on DVD
LadyBronte · 56-60, F
@Gusman Nice. I will try to look it up on YouTube and see what I can find. Thanks.
SW-User
My pick is a movie probably very few have seen, it's called Migrating Forms directed by James Fotopoulos, a poor excuse of an artsy film, it tries to be another Eraserhead, and fails miserably.
LadyBronte · 56-60, F
@SW-User Who in the world would try to make another Eraserhead?! That was awful!
SW-User
Paint Your Wagon was a Lee Marvin and Clint Eastwood musical if you can believe it 🤣
tindrummer · M
@SW-User that explains a lot 😛
LadyBronte · 56-60, F
@SW-User I think I saw part of that as a kid. I was so confused what was going on! Haha.
SW-User
@LadyBronte

Poor Clint looked out of place warbling "I Talk to the Trees".

Eraserhead........difficult movie to follow, but worth watching twice to understand it better.
Very odd movie.

LadyBronte · 56-60, F
@DallasCowboysFan Eraserhead was one of my all-time worst movie picks! I can't believe anyone could enjoy that train wreck. And I just saw it is streaming on HBO Max. 🤮
DallasCowboysFan · 61-69, M
@LadyBronte Yeah and it was directed by Peter Lynch. He has directed a lot of unique movies....Blue Velvet, Mulholland Drive, Twin Peaks...Dune..... not your family centric movies.
LadyBronte · 56-60, F
@DallasCowboysFan I enjoyed those movies. Eraserhead was just in a very different class!
thepreposterouspanda · 36-40, M
It was a skate movie that came out in the early 2000s called Grind.

Napoleon Dynamite is also up there on that list.
LadyBronte · 56-60, F
@thepreposterouspanda I don't think I ever even heard of Grind. Probably wouldn't have been my thing anyway.

I laughed at Napoleon Dynomite. So many good lines in that movie! hahah!
braveheart21 · 61-69, M
Battlefield Earth.. With John Travolta..

Absolutely dire 🤦‍♂️🤦‍♂️🤦‍♂️
LadyBronte · 56-60, F
@braveheart21 I've not seen it.
braveheart21 · 61-69, M
@tindrummer @LadyBronte the book is brilliant.. Ive read many times but sadly the movie is just a pile of crap.... Even Travolta has never mentioned it in an interview since making it
tindrummer · M
@braveheart21 not that special for me but pretty good - don't think I'll read it again

@Bignakedguy That movie was so bad. A friend of mine talked me in to going to the theater to see it back in the 80s. Worst waste of money ever!!!!

@LadyBronte it definitely makes a good appetite suppressant
LadyBronte · 56-60, F

@Coldplay OMG Yes! That movie was awful! I have to wonder when I hear people say it's one of their favorite movies!
Coldplay · 56-60, M
@LadyBronte I’ve seen some bad movies but that is by FAR the worst.
@LadyBronte Rachel Weisz starred in it. I think it was from a piece of literature, but didn't translate well on screen.
It was an odd plot.

Another that comes to mind is Wicker Park with Josh Hartnett.
Slow, disjointed.
LadyBronte · 56-60, F
@SethGreene531 Glad I didn't see it them. Sounds really bad.
@LadyBronte Yeah you saved the price of a movie ticket, and precious minutes of your life saved, lol.

It was odd, hard to follow. Like surrealist art.

@LadyBronte it is odd, choppy and boring 😂
JimboSaturn · 51-55, M
Some Jean Claude Van Dam movie 'Nowhere to Run" or something. It was so filled with continuity errors.

Roadhouse with Patrick Swayze.
MasterDvdC · 61-69, M
@JimboSaturn I agree. Van Dam has to get beaten to a pulp before he can fight worth a diddly.
LadyBronte · 56-60, F
@JimboSaturn I really hated Jean Claude Van Dam movies. He was such a dolt.

I liked Roadhouse though. Haven't seen it in years though.
LadyBronte · 56-60, F
@RockerDad Ah. I enjoyed that one. Not sure if I would if I saw it again now.
RockerDad · M
@LadyBronte there are a lot of movies we grew up with that were really popular at the time, but now when I watch them, I find myself going. “What the hell were we thinking? This is terrible!”. Others hold up great, though. It just depends.
LadyBronte · 56-60, F
@RockerDad I agree! I've tried to watch an episode here and there of popular 70s & 80s sitcoms I really liked. Lol. Really. What were we thinking?!
uncalled4 · 56-60, M
Disney's Fantasia. It was the first movie I ever saw that sucked. I was a little kid. My dad hated it, too. It absolutely blew dog.
LadyBronte · 56-60, F
@uncalled4 I wasn't a fan either. I bought the VCR tape of it....wasted money. All I remember is Micky dressed in a wizard coat and hat messing around with a broom.
