American Werewolf in London and Starship Troopers and Willy Wonker's Chocolate Factory weren't as big as they should of been on release but really there is million angles I could look at this one as they're still well known films over time.

I dunno about under rated, but the ones I recall watching to oblivion many times over - jaws, the crow, forest gump, fear and loathing in las vegas, fantasia, fight club, buckaroo banzai, pink floyd - the wall, remo williams - the adventure begins, the jerk, pretty much all the pink pather movies from before 2000.

The original Dune got bad reviews.
Personally it has been one of the best movies I have ever watched. The only movie I ever bought on DVD.

We talking popular movies that most people didn't think were great?
Or great movies that few people know about?

@reddevil The Amazing Spider-Man movies, IMO, are two of the best Spider-Man movies.
As for lesser known movies, there's a German movie called "Leon Must Die" that was made for 100 euros. I think it's awesome.

"How the west was won" and "The Longest day". Were technical and casting monsters. But its hard to go past "Buckaroo Banzai.." Unless its to "Silverado.."😷
