I wonder sometimes if I have C-PTSD

Can anyone relate to this at all, and I will leave it somewhat contextless to see what feelings and thoughts it may conjure up for you:

"How DARE you like/love me!!"

Basically reminds me of my relationship with my abusive ex. You end up hurting yourself by loving someone who is relentlessly toxic and dysfunctional, and until you abandon them you will be punished every time you abandon yourself and your needs/sanity for theirs.

Anyway, anyone who makes you feel that way is very toxic. Romantic, family, friend, doesn't matter. Not worth it.

It is so painful to let go, but it hurts more to hold onto what is killing you.

I hope you feel better.

I have been in some severely traumatic situations and something that helped me immensely if it is legal where you live was ketamine treatment.

Either way you decide to proceed I hope you take care of yourself. Trauma has to be taken seriously or it festers as badly as any physical disease. It can even create physical disease in the body.

All the best.

@foldedunfolding Satan and the archons that rule this world have always been liars. They want you to think you are weak, alone, and unworthy, but you are not.

The dark forces are powerful, many and oppressive, but the light is stronger.

When you command the minions of darkness to leave in the name of Jesus Christ, they do. I have experienced this first hand.

They like to target us through our pain and weaknesses. So it is important to lean on Jesus and reclaim your power, so you can assert your personal God-given sovereignty against dark powers.

Ask Jesus to protect you from spiritual attack, and He will help you cast darkness out of your life.

I have PTSD myself but what does the C stand for in you C-PTSD?
@itsok and if even 8% fall into CPTSD but not the broader PTSD, those people are left without care at all for it. That’s sad.

@foldedunfolding Thank you for the knowledge.

@WillaKissing my pleasure!

I don't have an official diagnosis, but I'm sure I have it based on a fair bit of research.
My therapist and psychiatrist both agreed probably when I first started seeing them.
CoDA has helped me a fair bit with the codependency that has resulted from it.
@Starcrossed never mind, I just found info on it. Hugs. 🖤🫂

@DarkHeaven for those reading comments curious, it's Codependency Anonymous, 12 steps based on AA.

I wish I knew what was wrong with me. Sometimes I think all of life sucks, but then I see other people are happy.

@DarkHeaven I've been diagnosed with PTSD, depression and anxiety. I keep trying to get better, but I don't expect to be happy or feel normal, just want some relief. The thing that really kills me is fibromyalgia. I hurt inside and out and it affects my ability to parent. I never give up though.
@SW-User I’ve heard about the pain from fibromyalgia. I can’t imagine. Praying for you always. 🖤🙏

foldedunfolding · 41-45, F
@Guardian no i FELT it
Guardian · 56-60, M
@foldedunfolding why did you feel this way?
foldedunfolding · 41-45, F

my answer to 20 of 22 questions was "yes"..2 were "unsure", and by a slim margin :( ugh there is so much wrong with me
dubkebab · 51-55, M
@foldedunfolding I'm pretty sure I check most of these boxes.Without even seeing them.
Therapy and working a spiritual recovery program have me helped immensely...
but there's still that hurt and angry little kid inside me who emerges from time to time and wants to run the show...thanks,violent alcoholic parents! Here's to breaking the cycle. Don't fret too much-you have a big heart and god's grace appreciates that. This is part of why I love punk rock as a motivating force.

I have C-PTSD. I don't personally have that thought, but I can definitely see someone thinking that as a result of C-PTSD.
Selah ·
Of course you do. Most people here do lol
HumanEarth · 56-60, F
What is C-PTSD? I never heard of it.
That's worth asking your doctor.
iamonfire696 · 41-45, F
I have PTSD because in Canada CPTSD isn’t recognized as a diagnosis but I definitely would qualify for complex ptsd.

Sorry you do too.
