I have PTSD because in Canada CPTSD isn’t recognized as a diagnosis but I definitely would qualify for complex ptsd.

@iamonfire696 it seems it’s even somewhat new for the WHO’s ICD-11. Hopefully it will get added soon to other field manuals.
@iamonfire696 I thought that most countries outside of the US used the ICD-11, does Canada not?

@JustGoneNow the ICD is based from the DSM and because the DSM hasn’t recognized it the ICD hasn’t either.
@iamonfire696 the World Health Organization’s 11 revision of the ICD in 2018 actually does recognize both PTSD and CPTSD as two distinct sibling conditions but the DSM-5 was 2013 around the time of the ICD- 10. At least that’s what I’m reading.
