There are specialized lights for that, too. Call them SAD lamps. 15 mins a day in that wavelength can help.

I do. Get the winter blues and never tried that, hope it makes you feel better.

I have a light panel that is supposed to help with vitamin D as well since most of my work as a mechanical designer leaves me computer bound in the dark recesses of corporate cubicle dungeons.
I haven't used it much since i cant bring stuff into secured areas.
I figgured if i let one run at home, some cop would think im running a rural hydroponics lab and id get raided 😉

My wife uses a light box that is designed specifically for people with SADS, but I believe it is basically the same kind of light.

I get the double dip this time of year; PTSD and SAD. So I bought a spectrum light a few years ago. Not a cure but it does help!
Yes, i have 3.
One in bedroom i like putting on a purplish setting

@Bexsy so pretty! I have purple lights all over my room. So soothing. Maybe we're mostly plant, less human?
@MarbleMarvel this would explain so much probably

I bought one of those "SAD" lamps a few years back. Did F all. Haha

I have one of those lamps specificly for treating SAD. I never found it very helpful, until I started using it to grow plants.
@Dolimyte might as well include some plants in on the fun!
Yeah it doesn't do wonders, but it gets me through some rough days when a little warmth and brightness is a lot 🖤

Most years but it hits me around the end of March and last I til about Mid May. If I take Vitamin D it helps somewhat but really it's the wet soggy muddy weather of spring and longer days that does it to me more than anything.
@MethDozer yeah, the soppy north east will get to you. It doesn't start really blooming until end of April here. As long as I can get outside I'm better.

@MarbleMarvel that's my thing. Once the thaw hits and it gets in the 40s going outside is absolutely awful. Its easy to find outdoor activities in when everything is frozen but once it turns to chilly rain and mud it just blows
