That's the only way to fall in love. I fell in love with my husband because of his spirit and love of life. I wasn't attracted to him physically but that didn't take long to develop. I'm absolutely blessed to have fallen in love with his heart, mind and soul. The physical appearance aka the body caught up afterwards.

Yes. My biggest ever crush was on a girl who wasn't really conventionally attractive, as she was very overweight. She had beautiful light blue eyes and naturally blonde hair though. I was just crazy about her, I loved everything about her. Just seeing her silhouette in the distance on my way to school, made my heart flutter. She was incredibly witty, kind, and just her. 🩷

No, it's always the whole package or nothing. If I admire someone's personality, I can value them just enough without any romantic or sexual feelings.

@GuyWithOpinions I would say it's the other way around; capability, having a skill or problem solving abilities are part of someone's personality, but compatibility is about how well the two you fit together, so that can't be part of just one person's personality.
That aside I totally agree, it's super important that they have their own thing, and their own drive. I find that people can become overly dependent on their partner when they don't. And yes, it's also important that our partner has something that we can admire and appreciate, like you said.
