Are you still in-love with your ex?

Is it time to move on?
helenS · 36-40, F
I still love all my ex-es. There's a reason I was in a relationship with each of them. I'm on very good terms with all of them (unless they are married now, in which case I stay away), we exchange letters, and I sometimes visit some of them.
No need to "move on" in this regard, I move on all the time anyway.
QCDog2659 · 61-69, M
Yes. I love the women who chose to share a part of their lives with me.
helenS · 36-40, F
@QCDog2659 Very nice! 🌷
QCDog2659 · 61-69, M
@helenS Thank you.

I can only be honest.
helenS · 36-40, F
@QCDog2659 A kind of honesty which I deeply appreciate.

Well...not in-love with all of them.

I have some remaining care for the mother of my girls for that solely reason, even if she left all us for reasons of her own. I know she is doing well for what are her choices and standards. Enough.
Certainly not in-love.

I have also a friend like affection (and I´m grateful to her for our years together) for the woman with whom we shared what was posible to share between two previously wounded and by then emotional castaways.
There was friendship, teamwork, fun, mutual desire and something like playful romance.
But had it´s intrinsic limits and ended leaving good memories.
Not in-love with her since decades and I´m happy she is in-love with her actual husband, also a colleage of both and a good guy.

And here it comes...
It´s not easy to think as an Ex to the woman I loved more than life in our mature years.
Yes, she passed away or we would be together.
And I will love her and be in-love with her till my time comes.

Just in case anyone is still in doubt I do know what love really is. No, it's not something from the conveyor belt and it stays around. I count myself lucky that I've never met a woman who just uses people as dildos. I'm also sure that people who write nice letters to exes are nice. However, a society that allows that kind of portrayal of love is false. True love lasts, even if it's lost. Somehow my female mindset doesn't need to be defined as just emotional and feminine either, thank you very much. Love is good. Don't knock it

I think I'm in love with what I remember they were like, not them per se.

It's been 3 years this month, tho. I've accepted the fact it's over.
Adogslife · 61-69, M
Absolutely not, but she is a very very good person and I still respect her and wish her well.
helenS · 36-40, F
@Adogslife 👍🏾
hunkalove · 61-69, M
Yes. It's only been 32 years since she dumped me.
GuyWithOpinions · 31-35, M
Yes i still love her. No, we might not get back together. We are just friends. Its complicated though. We have been through traumatic experiences together. We support eachother in that way.
Lol who 🤷🏼‍♀️
@Matt85 Lol can't mind what time I actually answered this but yeah been busy these last few days and been up early sometimes..
Matt85 · 36-40, M
@PrincessRoarBuddy I think it was about 3am!
@Matt85 Oh right maybe I was out or different time zone..I dunno 🤷🏼‍♀️
No.

But gotta be honest... I do still keep track of her whereabouts. And laugh every time the results pop up on the screen.

-5 ex-husbands
-Several bankruptcies
-A tax lien
-Claims to have obtained a Bachelors degree (during the same time period we were married and living overseas)
-Lives in an old single-wide in a shitty part of a town in Central California

KARMA is a wonderful thing..!

hmm most of my exes i dont even think about anymore, so nah.
Only my sons mother. I hate her with everything i can muster yet at the same time will always have some love for her because she is the mother to my son.
zonavar68 · 56-60, M
Not since she became pregnant in late 2016 and never told me until weeks later. That was the final straw for me losing all my trust in her. In sep 2018 when our daughter as 13 months I left her and it was the best move I ever made.

I fell out of it some time before we actually broke up because he was checked out emotionally. Wasn't much to move on from.
Nope. To be fair, prior to my current and longest relationship (2.5 years), I’ve only ever had short lived flings 🫠
zonavar68 · 56-60, M
Not a chance with the second ex or the first. The first cheated on me, the second abused my trust.
exexec · 61-69, C
I don't have an ex, and my wife says she never really loved any of her ex-fwb's. So the answer is no.
SoLeRiMix · 31-35, M
Nope! What's gone is long gone. Doors closed for her forever. No room for reconsideration.
😇
Elessar · 26-30, M
