When did you realize adulthood wasn’t what you expected?

When my dad convinced the judge to give me probation and not "have a record" around 15 or so.

I had my first child when I was 20 years old, you grow up fast when you're responsible for a baby.

Honestly, things got a lot better in the adulthood.

After getting married

When I started working full time and paying bills.

Around the time I started doing Qn'A sites in 2011!!

When I realized adulthood could still feel young and fresh. Still does.

When I started paying my bills

When I realized I’m actually more rational and mature than most adults.

I kind of figured out quickly when I got my first job ever washing dishes

When I got my first job, had my own money but I was too tired to stay up late and I can't afford to buy what I want.

When I started running a home. I was 18 had left home & moved in with a man who would become my husband when I was 20. Paying bills & living with a toxic man really took its toll on me. It wasn't all "hearts & flowers" being away from home like I thought it would be. Learnt a lot of lessons in my 20's & now at 53 am the happiest I've ever been.

i actually never expected it..

When I couldn't just go home to my room have have my mom tell my husband when he calls that he has dialed the wrong number.

Right after college…..

When I got out of school and started working full time. I hit me like a brick. No more summer or winter breaks. This sucks

I’m an adult?

I just don't care anymore. There's so much shit going on.

When I realized that not every person at adult age is truly a grown up person.

It is, it isn't adulthood, it is how I carry myself as an adult. I have realized that recently and am doing my everything to change to my direction.

I never knew what to expect. Generaly speaking, looking back you're safer as an adult. Wolves prey on the very young.

When the nut case boss was yelling on a matter he didn't know a shit about but had to keep quiet because of the bills to be paid
