The deist in me: Where God is, the soul goes. A peaceful quiet as all that is unknown is explained. The peace in that place comes from knowing that all that is being revealed is pure truth, and no I'm not talking about fake elections, or flat earths, or anything else that would be trivial at that point.

ScreamingFox · 41-45, F
Our bodies let go of our energy. It transmutes and transfers.

I don't really know. But I know we go on.

My mom died 6 years ago today and a red tailed hawk, her favorite, flew 10ft overhead of me today. I know love/energy doesn't die even if the purpose of being human is murky.
@froggtongue [media=https://youtu.be/5uDA4RgHolw]
I don’t think it rly matters. And we don’t actually know that. @froggtongue @PhoenixPhail

You might be right that we may not even know we actually died. @ScreamingFox

I don't believe the soul dies and that we are runited with our lived ones after death. After my dad died I was taking pics of my place noticed some orbs. I looked closely and saw my dads face. Did it several more times. Saw my dad again. Same thing after my mom died. Always feel them around me.
Blondily · F
@Oneofthestormboys oh yes I dont dwell on it. lol Dad died 13 years ago.
What it does is make me not afraid to die. Ill see them again eventually
Oneofthestormboys · 56-60, M
@Blondily That’s the way I tend to think about it too - especially after last night.
Blondily · F
@Oneofthestormboys what happened?
ArishMell · 70-79, M
I think, the end. I don't believe in an "after life" but I do appreciate such belief does comfort many people - as far as we can determine the need for that belief, however expressed, is as old as humanity itself.
CrazyMusicLover · 31-35
I'm not spiritual. We are our bodies and we perish with them. What we call the soul only remains in memories of other people and our creations we leave behind. And it's still typically only some period of our life because we change even throughout our lives. just think of neurodegenerative diseases or drug abuse. It's like the soul is gone before body dies.

I like to fantasize about spiritual stuff because it's fun and feels good but I never truly believed in it.
Picklebobble2 · 56-60, M
I think our earthly form decomposes and the elements return to the ether to create new life forms.

As for anything 'other worldly', i'd like to think anything you believe is fine whether you have a belief or not.

Brief:
Basically nothing changes because we are all just virtual characters. What we see and feel looks real to us but it's not actually real. Think of this world like a video game, there are players and they have surroundings, it can be mountains, trees, roads and all sorts of things. The surroundings in the game are a reality for the player (character in the game, think of it like mario having it's own brain), but only the world outside the game knows that it's all just virtual.

Deeper Context:
Consciousness is nothing but the electricity of the outer world. Everything exists in the game only till the electricity is running. If the electricity is cut off, the existence of the characters and everything inside the game simply disappears. This is also why a lot of people and spiritual ideologies suggest that everything is connected, the mountains the animals the humans and the soul, all of us are connected in some way. Because all of this exists on this running electricity of the outer world. Imagine if a character in a game has its own brain and it wishes to find the edge of this surroundings he is in, he obviously won't be able to find the edge because first it's not even real it's just virtual it's only real for him, second it's not in his capacity. The same happens when we try to find the edge of the universe. So when, a character in a game dies, nothing really changes because the world was already a virtual thing. The soul(existence of that character) simply disappears on the network.

@zombiex8 The Matrix…?
zombiex8 · 26-30, M
@Oneofthestormboys Absolutely! It's just that it's not in our capacity to define the exact architecture.

Doesn’t matter what you believe in....

*Your body becomes worm food once buried
*If burnt you impact climate change due to mainly Carbon Dioxide emissions. As cremation grows in popularity due to lower costs and land scarcity, its collective impact on climate change is increasing.

The soul is an entirely different matter.
@KiwiBird Yes, your body does become worm food, but, as you say, the soul is an entirely different matter.

You're not your body.
KiwiBird · 36-40, F
@swirlie Recycling is reincarnation...you might come back as a worm.
@KiwiBird If the worm is born right at that time and you reincarnate into it, you could be eating your own body wouldn't you think?
Charity · 70-79
Bible tells us to our spirits go back to God who gave it, it can be surmised to say our energy goes back to God who gave it. And awaiting judgment, it's not the bodies that are being judged but the spirits / energies within these bodies. And these flesh bodies rot back into the dust of the Earth, becomes chemicals again.

I don't believe in life after death. I believe in Life after life. What we call death is simply a door through which we pass. Some go to heaven and some go to hello...

We've all already came to a state of being from a state of nonbeing once already. Stands to reason it will happen again given enough time.

What will be the nature of it? Who knows.

But id bet money we just come back.

Most will burn in torment for eternity. Few will be in paradise with Jesus. All will bow before Jesus and be judged for what they have done. Most will be thrown into the lake of fire. Few who have repented and obeyed Jesus’s commands will enter the kingdom of heaven and enjoy paradise for eternity.
What do you think happens at the end of a rainbow?

@swirlie You're fortunate to have learned it so early.
swirlie · 31-35
@PhoenixPhail

I learned it quite by accident, literally. I was shown that everything that ever was, still is... except that in our physical realm experience in a body, we can no longer see it, but it's still there. Anyone who ever passed away in your life is still with you, which your spirit knows, but your physical senses can't sense.

What I also learned is that all this physical reality around us is like a canned script, somewhat like a scroll that was used in an old 'player piano'.

What you are experiencing NOW, is not actually happening right now. It happened at one time long ago which is when the script was first made... and what you're witnessing now is the equivalent of you sitting in a theater and watching your life play out on the screen at the front of the theater.

Oh yes, it appears that we stand up and participate with all of it, but as your video suggests, we are only imagining ourselves participating as we watch the movie play on.

What this means is, whatever was first put into that movie, remains in that movie no matter how many times the scroll is played on the piano... the same song emerges, the same keys get hit and the same sound comes out every single time.

Therefore, there is no such thing as saying "if I had it to do over again, I would do this ..or that instead...".

Technically speaking, you would do it exactly the same way during a second chance as you did when you did it the first time, because we are only watching it being played out, we are not controlling it!
@swirlie Very well put. 👍
