John Prine. What a treasure.

The death of Wayne Shorter hit me very hard. Wayne was a renowned American jazz saxophonist and composer. He made many innovative contributions to jazz music, particularly in the realms of hard bop, modal jazz, and jazz fusion. He was a member of Miles Davis' Second Great Quintet and, ten years later, "Weather Report" (with Joe Zawinul and bassist extra-ordinaire Jaco Pastorius).
If you want find out how amazing this man was, try Miles' "Nefertiti" album, with Miles on trumpet, Ron Carter on bass, Herbie Hancock on piano, Tony Williams (drums), and Wayne (saxophone).
Wayne is playing the Great Gig in the Sky now 😐

Jim Croce
John Denver
Duane Allman
Stevie Ray Vaughn
are the ones that bothered me the most. Three of the four died in plane crashes and one in a vehicular accident.
Now, the death that shocked me the most, even though I never really liked him a lot, was John Lennon's murder.
In real time: Elvis, Michael Jackson, Prince, Whitney made me sad.
Chester, Chris, Kurt, Layne, John Lennon made me angry.

The 27 club made me sad in that I will always wonder what more they could or would of said. Janis, Kurt, Jim, Jimi, Amy. All RIP

Kim Ki Duk movie director comes first, I never knew I could cry for a random person's death,
and Amy Winehouse, she could have had a different story...apparently couldn't.

Stevie Ray Vaughan and Robin Williams both bummed me out bad I remember
LordShadowfire · 46-50, M
@alongalone Robin Williams was completely preventable. His doctor gave him a bad diagnosis, and by the time they figured out they had the wrong one, he had already ended things rather than live with what he thought he had.
Levenrack · 46-50, M
Robin Williams
SlippingAway · 46-50, F

SlippingAway · 46-50, F
@SinlessOnslaught some people can't help it
Maybe John Belushi. His star was rising fast and then he was gone.
