At what point did you realise you were "old"

when youre out and notice a hot guy but then realize youre old enough to be their mother and they probably think you look like a grandma anyway lol. so like, everyday lol

When the pain got so great that I had to stop running and get a knee replaced.

I don't remember the exact day or year, but sometime in my mid-50's there was a family get together with photos. When I saw the photos, I didn't recognize myself. I looked like I'd been dragged through hades backwards and aged 20 years in just 5.

Always up until then, I'd at least looked ok for my age or even younger.

I felt I was getting old at 21, and then off and on since then.

Currently I accept that I am "old" by many people's definition (including the university students I work with) and I'm fine with that. But I don't feel old at all.

24 better not be considered old

{@fishy] the last few years at work i am tired as the week goes on the mind is strong and pushes and motvates me but the body is not quiet up to speed any more sadly

As my children were growing up in the 90's i heard the stuff they were listening to........Oxide and Neutrino; Baja Men; Limp bizkit; Sisqo; Snow.......

when i was about 48 ish . I am great health today though. I work out 3-5 times a week have great cardio high energy but small things I need to change. For instance I bike instead of run to preserve my knees. I moved my diet to a higher concentration of veggies and removed most sweets. I shifted in my hobbies a bit to accommodate my age. I read a ton when I was young but now I am slowing down in reading because I have a few hundred books I have already read and don't feel the need to keep that pace anymore.

I still haven't quite accepted where I'm at. 😅

I think I'm old because I'm not reckless like I used to be.

When I turned 29 I had a hard time because I knew 30 was coming the next year.

I don't feel old. I still look 20 or 19 at least. I'm in my mid 30's... although without the Beard

I would be curious if the people who answer this are height weight proportionate. I have a funny feeling that can really impact the answers various people give. I am 5 foot 9 and 162 (ish) so that I don't offer that up and then dodge the question.

When everybody on tiktok is literally younger than me it feels like. Unless they are lying about their age because some of them really look my age. I'm 23 and its like damn, you really 20? I'm really 3 years older than you?

I kind of felt that way at 40. That is the tipping point guess.
Now that 50 is only a little more than a year away, I wonder how this even happened.
I guess it kind of bit me in the butt.

People forget some of the advantages of aging though -

You have already been through a lot of dumb BS and will not have to suffer it again.
People do not try to tell you how to live as much.
You mostly stop worrying what others think.

Dunno, I've had a prosthetic hip since I was 23, so... around then I guess. 😂

I'll never have to accept it. Old means my age + 1
