What do you really want right now?

@SW-User Security is one thing I've had since I was out and on my own... I simply can't imagine the thought of not feeling secure. It's a basic need, a primal need. How have we not solved this? Anyway, here's hoping your situation gets better.

Yes! Home is so important. Our area is booming with massive apartment developments. Like everywhere I turn there's a 3, 4 or 5 story apartment in construction with hundreds of apartments each. Like villages within a city.

For me that means homes that you can never take for granted.

@Starsandfire Dealing with difficult peopl strategies:

#1 INTROSPECTION:
If they consistently do an irritating [c=BF0000]thing[/c] then;
Mention how old friend “Bob” did that [c=BF0000]thing[/c] and how horrible it was to deal with. [This method works if they admit it's irritating and later actually realiz that they also do that same [c=BF0000]thing[/c] and shouldn't.]

#2 REDIRECTION:
If irritating [c=BF0080]subject[/c] comes up, Immediately Announc ONCE that you do not wish to think about, hear or discuss such [c=BF0080]subject[/c]! When they bring it up again; Then immediately, as if you didn't hear, ask a Neutral but Personal Question of the person who brought up [c=BF0080]subject[/c]. "Priscilla, are those shoes as comfortable as they look?" "Roger, weren't you a football player in your University days?"
OR quietly leave the area without comment or reply.

#3 TOTAL FAKE HONESTY:
After their long awaited arrival and their Very First Derogatory/Disapproving/Condescending/Cutting Comment;
Immediately suggest that you FEEL that You aren't Perfect, being Obviously Very Different than them But You Will Try So Hard for them to Enjoy their Visit !

Always start negative sentences with, "I feel ...", As in, "I feel that you don't like me." "I feel that you totally misunderstood ... " "I feel that you are angry about ... "

Not, "You don't like me." "I think you misunderstood ..." "I know that you are angry about... "

#4 RUN THEM OFF:
Burn, over salt, under season meals, cook odd or disliked foods for them, put a rabid fleabag stray cat (dead or living) in their bedroom, play loud music they hate, turn off the hot water for their bathroom, wash their clothes in Pine Sol, forget to dry their clothing. Watch loud television during all conversations and forget they exist, misplace one of their favorite shoes. Call them by cutesy "happy" nicknames you made up for them, "Bo-Bob" and "Su-su-Susan" or always formally as Mr. Brown & Mrs. Brown even if they insist you didn't!
Go visit your "suddenly sick" Parent(s) and let Inlaws take care of your kids for the month!
