Meeting someone from this website

Has anyone met anyone from this website? If so, how was it and are you still in contact?

It's a risk to meet someone from the internet, from whichever site it is. It can be very rewarding though. I can say only from my own experiences that I've not regretted at all the few times I met someone.
If you're thinking about meeting, stay safe and good luck. Maybe listen more to the women here since their situations would be more like yours than mine.

not in this site exactly but when it was EP , I meet two from here , still with one I have contact through email and gmail chat , with another i lost contact as i left my past working place , with whom I lost contact was a contractor in local forest area and we spent a lot time inside forest together , second one is a fire fighter , basically he is quite busy in his work and family now so i never demanding any kind of personal meeting as before because I know by me his family life might be effected but still he is nice with me

Not SW but my husband and I met on EP. Before that I met my now-ex girlfriend from EP in Rome, where we spent a week together as she was travelling Europe with her family. She was from Chile.

I met two from EP. Both were just fleeting visits but it was great to have a real life visit after becoming familiar on line.

I can't remember if it was here or from Experience Project. But I met someone a couple times. We took a couple shopping trips together to hang out. We didn't really keep in touch after she got a boyfriend though. There wasn't any drama. Just a drifting away.

@James1956 how did or do people meet others from Ep or sw? Mustn't be a thing outside the US given that most users would be from there. Lots of people would be reluctant to meet irl.

Meetings were arranged and one person flew to me and I flew to meet my wife.

@zonavar68 I'm from Denmark and the first person I met was from Chile, the other from Ukraine. I was close with the first person for half a year before we met; daily video calls, almost always on the phone when home. The other person is my husband now, we were close for a year before we met, we'd watch each other play video games via TeamViewer every day while on the phone together, it was very similar to hanging out in real life.

I wouldn't recommend anyone meeting someone that they just write with, that's not safe. It's very different if you spend most of your time together.

Yes I have. One person. It went very well. We stayed in contact for a few years then the person just dropped off the edge of the world. They don't come in here anymore, respond to emails or anything.

@SWORDNEN it was the precursor to Similar Worlds. Not long after they shut down EP, SW picked up and a lot of the users switched over to here.
