Do you give money to the homeless every time you see them, sometimes or never ?

Not anymore. When I lived in Lansing, Michigan, I once gave $20 to a panhandler who was outside in the snow, playing his guitar. I had no idea he was a regular, and moved all around Lansing working different spots.

I also bought a kid a bus card too. I was at the store that sells public transit cards and he was about 17 and needed money for bus to get to youth shelter. I bought him a bus card instead. He was happy with that

I have given money, depends, I often will buy them food.

It's very hard to tell who the genuine homeless are. Many in my area are Romanian gypsies who are only here to thieve. Others have food piled up, yet still ask for money. Then there are some reasonably well-dressed people asking for an exact amount of money as they say they need it for a travel fare or a coffee etc. I don't hand over money anymore.

If we don't get rid of that traitor in the White House soon, I may be joining them! 😠

Not since I realized many or most of them were buying booze or drugs with the money. I've spent the necessary time to find out where in town they can get help and even have cards from a couple of the places that I offer.

Usually, they don't want the cards and sometimes get angry... which proves to me that I'm right.

I do not give them money ,we usually give them food and if they're new in the area we try to give them the number of the winter shelter here and tell them about the local soup kitchen.

No, but I offer to buy them food and water/coffee/tea. If they decline, I know they'd rather get money to fuel their addictions and I don't give them anything.


I feel sorry for them, don't get me wrong, but I don't wanna contribute to their downfall.

Most homeless people begging on the streets probably don't have phones supporting NFC, so no. I don't carry cash on me since it's inconvenient and I'd rather not get robbed. That's also why I go for cheaper products/brands like Samsung and Anker, over Apple and Bose even though I could afford the latter.

When I have spare change

Sometimes. When I don't it is usually because I have no money or only large ish bills on me. I gave a guy my gloves the other day.

when i live at bad place in south carolina,we bought auction cars and many had new clothes and shoes in them i would stop the homeless and give them to them,then id buy them a meal,i got well known as to helping them and was respected even in the worst areas
