Yes, and the president of the United States, after being infected himself and being afforded so-called “compassionate treatment” of experimental meds no other citizens would be given (on the taxpayers’ dime) is still trying to downplay the virus’ seriousness. 😞
@smiler2012 True.. But thats fading. And Trump has helped that process no end. Few fear America now. Most laugh at America for the stupidity in electing and tolerating him.. And no one respects America any more.😷
@whowasthatmaskedman this more reason for the american voter to stop think and look at this man deeply and what he stands for of course like on this site there are the core base obedience trump supporters who can here and see no wrong in this man and that saying is right the blind do not see but that is democracy for you it is the sensible people of the united states the doubters and waverers who vote trump last time and and thinking was that the right call they are the voters that joe should be aiming his pitch at and convince them joe is for the united states people and not out for himself and is not on a massive ego trip
@smiler2012 I concur on most of that.. But I dont see many actual loyal Trump suppoerters here. There are those who follow the Troll route of trying to get attention and occupy your time, distractiing you from your subject.. And there are those with a Pro Trump agenda that is blatant and I have to assume paid for...😷
Sadly some, aka Trump supporters, think that's nothing.. 0.0001 or whatever it is percent of the population. they don't get it, they never will... very sad!
@MarmeeMarch When is a life not a life? When its a statistic. Lets not pretend you give a crap. You just like the attention and the last word.. Go for it.😷
534 people too many, but why not look at the stats properly. The USA has a population of around 250 million (ish). Averaged out over a year how many people in the USA die per day across the whole USA including Alaska, Hawaii, etc.?
Found this from the CDC for 2018:
"In 2018, a total of 2,839,205 resident deaths were registered in the United States—25,702 more deaths than in 2017. From 2017 to 2018, the age-adjusted death rate for the total population decreased 1.1%, and life expectancy at birth increased 0.1 year."
@zonavar68 Actually you have a point. For instance where I am there has been a harsh lock down with few people at work. pubs closed and a driving limitation on distance and rasons to drive.. And of course the road toll has dropped.😷
@dommagic you always try to pick an argument with me and that's down to you not me...I never get nasty with you, so please try to be more civil with me....
Well I think the first place to start might be for the head of the Covid task force to actually be someone who deals with viruses not a radiologist , beyond that I could give you my opinion but that would just be it my opinion@GERRI
@Platinum I’ll be as civil to you as you are to me, I don’t enjoy “winding” ,I believe is how you put it, People up for enjoyment like I said my question was simply that a question
@Doomflower There was a brief time also they were trying to blame diabetes for all the worlds problems but that never really took off since no one was fighting about it.
@Punches bad diet, inactivity, and drug use (including smoking and alcohol) are the root of like 90% of all chronic health problems. The other 10% are accidents or genetic lottery.
Type two diabetes is mostly caused by lifestyle factors. I know this because I've seen people FIX it with lifestyle adjustments. Sometimes they need meds too; however I don't know anyone who has controlled or reversed their diabetes without modifying their lifestyle to be more healthy.
Americans are so fat if we gain any more weight we are gonna mess up earth's orbit.
So...TLDR: Shitty health habits lead to shitty health outcomes when you contract relatively easy to survive novel virus.
@GERRI Covid 19 does tend to prey on those with compromised systems. Age, chronic conditions, asmtha and others not only push the mortality up. But also leave people with post infection damage to Organs and brain. So far we dont know if those people will fully recover. The second cohort is the truth. Which falls prey to ignorant Trump supporters trying to say that totally unrelated dealths are being reported as Covid for financial gain. A complete lie.😷
And sports leagues are still going on. But can’t open any other things. There were 82 people in sports organizations effected last weekend but they are still going on.
What does related mean, most may have died from other things but they seem to want to blame covid...I'm not saying covid never killed them, but people die every day ...
They have to have post mortem..to understand how they died...the problem we have they always say related which means they don't know what definitely killed them....I'm not saying it never...if the biggest percentage who die have underlying health problems I'm not convinced@whowasthatmaskedman
To convince someone , you have to say something sensible and facts.....you have done neither ...just mild sarcasm ....but that's fine@whowasthatmaskedman @whowasthatmaskedman
@sunsporter1649 Ah the marvelous Ms Pelosi, not a fan of hers either. Her , Trump, McConnel, Cruz, Graham should all be taken out behind the woodshed. Get rid of them all.
Didnt that dumb ass Trump just say it was rounding the corner and almost over? Hasn't he been saying that same shit for months all while encouraging his followers to not wear masks and show up for his rallys while they continue spreading the shit as people continue dying daily
@strongbow Using YOUR example. Those who caught the "Spanish" flu often lapsed in Pneumonis because they caught the flu. One confition (the flu or the fall) led to the other as a direct consequence. And I dont believe your stupidity is accidental. 😷
