Is age a barrier?

Do you consider age when getting a live partner ?
Harriet03 · 41-45, F
All my past boyfriends and husband, have all been 'live'.
🤔
MrSmooTh · 31-35, M
@Harriet03 Well I think there definitely would be an age barrier for a "live" partner.
DrWatson · 70-79, M
@Harriet03 Well, well, aren't you picky????
DrWatson · 70-79, M
@MrSmooTh I wonder whether "age" refers to age at death or time since death!
IamCuriousBabe · 51-55, F
A pulse is the minimum requirement.
4meAndyou · F
Yes. I want a man at least as old as myself.
Darion29 · 46-50, M
@4meAndyou and how old her you?
4meAndyou · F
@Darion29 18. 😁
🤣🤣🤣

"Getting" a live in partner? Let see now.. we have been married for 33 years.. so thinking back WAS this a consideration 35 years ago when we met? I am not sure - but yes we definitely were attracted to one another and yes we got together for very valid reasons.. all of which are still very true to this day.. but was AGE an issue then or now or when ever? I am not sure it was much of a consideration then.. though there was a definite emotional and physical attraction then and .. that part has been and is very much still a key component to what binds us to one another...

Or should I simply say not applicable and be done with it?
Darion29 · 46-50, M
@pdqsailor1 reason you have a beautiful and a long lasting marriage... happy for you
bluesmanmark · 46-50, M
Not as much as others seem to based on the responses here. I'm 45, & my wife is 57, 12 years older than me. We've been together 10 years & married 9.
Graylight · 51-55, F
I do, but it's also important when considering a dead partner. Youth just smell better and it keeps fresher longer.
😈
Morrowind · 26-30, M
I wouldn’t date younger (not likely)
I just prefer older
My partner is 51

Yes...age is definitely more than just a number
Darion29 · 46-50, M
@SW-User okay but age dont come with wisdom?
ArishMell · 70-79, M
One would hope one's partner is live.....
pdockal · 56-60, M
Age is just a number
Thevy29 · 41-45, M
I prefer them alive
Repete · 61-69, M
I would definitely consider it but it wouldn’t be the only consideration and it may not be an automatic disqualification . That’s if I was even looking for one, and I’m not.
Hell yes. If there’s 20 year age gap both people will eventually not be on the same page in life. The same area of experience.

Creates a gradual divide
Adrift · 61-69, F
Yes, If someone was too much younger, I would constatly be doing the math in my head.
I.E. When you were in high school, I had already done this....and so on.

Don’t we all consider age? If you’re asking the importance of it then it is important my preference is women between 25-32
MrSmooTh · 31-35, M
I'm just here wondering what the alternative to a "live" partner is. Like are we talking necrophilia 🤔
iamelijah · 26-30, M
Not really but defintely not someone same age with me.

They have vibes that we have nothing in common.
A "live" partner ? As I’m not a necrophiliac, it’s come up. I tend to prefer my own age range.
@originnone I’m so sorry about your wife. I just lost my mom and am trying to cope. I’m slightly less combative than before.
originnone · 61-69, M
@bijouxbroussard I'm sorry about your mother. It's no easier to deal with when your older than when you're younger....
Darion29 · 46-50, M
@originnone you are a good man
Starcrossed · 41-45, F
...lol a live partner as opposed to a dead one?😳😦🤔
Darion29 · 46-50, M
Starcrossed · 41-45, F
@Darion29 ...do you seek dead partners? That seems like it would be unfulfilling.
originnone · 61-69, M
you have to. it's especially important when you get old like me.
Lostpoet · M
As long as she's not old enough to be my mom.
Ceinwyn · 26-30, F
Yes. No more than 3-4 years old or a year younger.
plungesponge · 41-45, M
Yes so I learned to appreciate the dead ones
Degbeme · 70-79, M
*looks at hands* Yeah they still move. ;)
Sidewinder · 36-40, M
That depends on the situation...
OldBrit · 61-69, M
It really depends, as a rule no younger/older than 10 years (give or take).
ViciDraco · 36-40, M
I can't say that I've been in a position to really consider it before.
caesar7 · 61-69, M
Yes...absolutely !!
