Call For Old Covid Zealots

Whats your opinion now? Still wanting the covid injection mandated? Still think lockdowns work? Still think masks stop virus particles? Still thinking all restrictions were neccessary?

Or do have you any questions at this point?
revenant · F
Will anybody admit they were wrong ? or will they double down.
WalterF · 70-79, M
@gol979 Definitely, I would say, by (1) our innate need for justice to be done, and (2) what the Bible declares ("it is given to men to die once, and then the judgment" (approx).

Otherwise, old Addie Hitler blew his brains out and just went to sleep, forever... No! too easy. He has had to answer for his crimes
revenant · F
@CestManan that is what I am hearing all around me. I never ever wanted this jab but I had to travel and to take the plane I HAD to be "vaccinated"...Not a friggin valid choice. I was not going on holiday for pete's sake.6
I ended up with a blood clot on the brain in the hospital last year. No idea where it is from but first phrase out of their mouth : it is not the vaccine !
CestManan · 46-50, F
@revenant Heh, of course they are going to say it is not the vaccine.

Any unusual ailments people suffer, they are going to act like it is "mysterious". Kind of like when a little kid messes up something and tries to act like "it just happened on it's own."

What's next, Titanic scaremongers? Still think icebergs are scary?

@BlueVeins "chosen' information
CestManan · 46-50, F
@BlueVeins
I want a vax-or-test policy for employment. That's it.

The reasons that didn't happen is because it was going to cost companies too much money plus too many attendance problems. Big companies already have a hard time getting their lower wage workers to show up. Imagine when asymptomatic ones had to take time off plus people quitting over vax or test.

One might say, "Oh those people can be replaced by anyone off the street" but it isn't quite that simple.
BlueVeins · 22-25
@CestManan It did happen though, in a wide variety of industries. The only reason why we don't have it to this day is because the Supreme Court struck it down.
what i get a kick out of is all the people who wanted forced vaccinations that referred to themselves as Anti-fascists. 🙄
@Graylight
gol979 · 41-45, M
@YourMomsSecretCrush ahhh yes. The fascist anti-fascists. Inversions everywhere. Language is becoming meaningless (literally) for many. What a time to be alive
CestManan · 46-50, F
@YourMomsSecretCrush
when you break in my house my family is first priority, they should have stolen that tv from walmart. thats the CHOICE they made. they made the wrong choice. just like a choice to get or not get a vaccine comes with consequences, breaking into someones house comes with consequences as well.

Plus, if the person wanting to steal a TV is pro-vax, they could have not only stolen a brand NEW TV from walmart but also got vaccinated :D
Family is safe, thief is safe, TV is brand new, win win all around :D

OH and walmart has something that most homes do not - Christmas displays featuring Mariah Carey.
Graylight · 51-55, F
Why, when talking about a virus, do topics about lockdowns and mandates come up? Is that how we refer to the Spanish flu or TB or pneumonia?

Yes, Covid is still very much alive and active and people are still getting it every day, which means people are dying night every day. Once again, you don’t get to create the rules reality. Look around the world.
revenant · F
@Graylight you are following CHINA 's model. Not really a free society here
Graylight · 51-55, F
@revenant Uh, no. Like to know the county that most successfully avoided Covid through lockdown? New Zealand.
WalterF · 70-79, M
@Graylight And the people are happy about that? Not exactly. Oh and of course China has a great lockdown policy (lockdown from the outside - the most efficient type). People are risking their lives to protest against it
Sure took the mask off some ppl ey?

.. some of these ppl wanted to deny me any medicate access for no baa baa’ing with the flock … 😑

Are they trying to resurrect covid scares again everywhere?

On a road trip I just took, they were talking on the radio about protests in China over restrictions.

I did see in our local news paper something about the latest covid vaccine. Same ol song and dance, there were only so many vaccines to go around blah blah.

What is even the point? No one really cares about covid nor vaccines at this point. It would be like arguing over the merits of a Foghat album.

They had their fun, hoarded toilet paper, did masks, played the "Hurry before they are gone!" vaccine doses... Can't they just hang it up already?
hippyjoe1955 · 61-69, M
@revenant We don't hear about it as much from the Alberta government. Having fired the dud chief medical officer of health for utter incompetence and the entire Alberta Health Services board no one wants to poke their head above the parapet for fear of losing their job. Sadly the media is still all in for jabs. Like others on this thread I got rid of the TV years ago and only catch snips of their nonsense on the radio while driving. When they get too stupid I simply turn off the radio or change channels. What I do know is that the media is hell bent on getting rid of the new premier who had the temerity of firing the idiot CMOH.
revenant · F
@hippyjoe1955 Have you heard of the Ontario College of Physicians and Doctors..or whatever it is called ....wanting to push the narrative that being "anti vaxx" is a psychiatric mental illness ? And no exemption should be given.
I am more and more convinced that I am the sane one living in a mental asylum at this point.
hippyjoe1955 · 61-69, M
@revenant yeah Ontario has been nuts for years.
CountScrofula · 41-45, M
It's still killing a ton of people I dunno what gotcha moment you're looking for here.
CestManan · 46-50, F
@CountScrofula
Meanwhile, corporations, the very ones who would drive this conspiracy, are -against- the lockdown measures and pressure governments to open up. Couple that with governments being unable to keep a single thing secret and... this ain't it.

Someone on here once said that the GOVT isn't organized enough to pull off much of anything. I mean it is true. 😄
Corporations do not like lockdowns nor mandated vaccines or testing because it would cost them money. I think that is why that whole mess was ditched overnight last January.

@WalterF No doubt the powers would love to take away everything from the people and have total control. They been dreaming of that since day one. Pulling it off is another story entirely.
The problem with that though - suppose we lived in world where the people of places like the UK and USA and other developed nations had no hope of owning anything, no dreams, no nothing but servitude to the powers. The people would have nothing to lose and no reason not to destroy everything.

What would eventually happen is yeah the powers would own it all but all would be in ruins. You have heard the expression "The most dangerous guy in the room is the one who has nothing to lose."

People eventually push back. Even the people of China have been protesting lockdowns.
WalterF · 70-79, M
@CestManan It is my hope and dream that the people should rise up -peaceably - and say No more! Non-compliance by the majority will stop anything, even the filthy rich string-pullers
CestManan · 46-50, F
@WalterF It would be nice but there are people out there who need to be led around by the nose. Some of us like to make our own decisions but some people do not.
revenant · F
Ontario College of Physicians and Doctors : If you are averse to covid vaccination you might have a mental illness and should be prescribed medication.

Ontario is a really fucked up weird place. I have felt it for quite a while
Paladin · 61-69, M
Yes, those precaution we had to take early on probably saved countless lives. But as time progressed, and we learned more about the virus, those precautions haves eased up. Nothing should have been done differently.
Graylight · 51-55, F
@Paladin Except...The FDA just pulled an anti-viral treatment, citing its ineffectiveness over the newest variants. It's not what came that we should be discussing - it's what's coming due to lack of containment because everyone got bored and stupid.
Why do you care about my opinion?
@gol979 Covid isn’t a problem where I live. There are no lock downs, there are no deaths. It’s a past event. We’ve moved on, you can too.
gol979 · 41-45, M
@DazzaTheHutt good for you 👍
@gol979 Yes it is.
