Call For Old Covid Zealots

Whats your opinion now? Still wanting the covid injection mandated? Still think lockdowns work? Still think masks stop virus particles? Still thinking all restrictions were neccessary?

Or do have you any questions at this point?

It's still killing a ton of people I dunno what gotcha moment you're looking for here.
WalterF · 70-79, M
@CountScrofula They don't tell you at the same time that far more people are dying of the flu, of old age, of cancer, than of covid. Because you are expected to focus on covid and they want to keep up the fear.
CountScrofula · 41-45, M
@WalterF More people dying is bad. I hope we can agree on this.

Also what fear? The governments gave up trying to control it. Are there still mask mandates where you are? None here.
WalterF · 70-79, M
@CountScrofula No (UK). BUT they have left their Emergency Powers Act needlessly in place, so as to be ready to clamp down at the slightest thing they can call a "health emergency" (e.g., a dozen people in Africa succumbing to a virus will be a threat to ALL lives in the West, so LET'S LOCKDOWN!)

The big problem for me is this WHO agreement which all nations will sign next summer. This agreement will give full power to the WHO in all matters of public health. This means that, if the WHO says that monkeypox is a pandemic, that you must lockdown and get injected, then NO government, NO country, NO individual will be able to object. Obligatory 100% obedience.

And when you think that the head of the WHO, a chap known as Tedros something, has zero medical qualifications or experience, but is extremely favourable to communist countries and their regimes, then that is somewhat worrying.

In other words, the Covid episode was a test - to see how far they could push people. They found no resistance to strong authoritarian measures. They won't be stopping. The next round will be a lot worse.

@WalterF To what end?
WalterF · 70-79, M
@CountScrofula Control.

When you have all the money and all the power, you need still more.

They call us (yes, it's official) "useless eaters." There is a desire for mass depopulation (via engineered food shortages from 2023, potential nuclear war, absurd rise in price of fuel, breakdown of health services, their trumped up threat of global warming). We will not be able to afford to keep our homes, so they will take them from us and rent them back to us, thus making money out of us.

Too much to relate here.

The main thing is, never to believe that those in power seek our good. They seek only their own enrichment, never mind what happens to Joe Public

@WalterF I'm as anti-government as you get and completely agree with you on their motivations and greed.

But the mechanism? What you're saying is muddy nonsense that falls apart at the slightest poke.

The covid response being so inconsistent and sloppy is borne out of that greed you're talking about. Health professionals pressure governments against their will to implement control measures, and then the governments back off as soon as possible because they hate doing it. Meanwhile, corporations, the very ones who would drive this conspiracy, are -against- the lockdown measures and pressure governments to open up. Couple that with governments being unable to keep a single thing secret and... this ain't it.

Not to mention I spent a long time as a union lead and negotiator for academics and I know full well that the people who study immunology and virology for a living have full freedom of speech legally protected in court.

The conspiracy you're describing is impossible nonsense. The powers that run the world enrich themselves and gain control and power through extremely obvious ways.

@CountScrofula We'll see who's right. I would love to be wrong.
But with digital money promised by the UK government (and many others), with no more cash, we will all be linked by our digital ID to the banking system.

Now there's a potential recipe for disaster
CountScrofula · 41-45, M
@WalterF Yeah. Like, I think we really agree on what's wrong with the world. I just don't have any faith in the government to actually pull off a conspiracy theory.

Things are going to get a lot worse though, for everyone. I think we just predict different kinds of bad lol
WalterF · 70-79, M
@CountScrofula Either way, it ain't gonna be pretty.

My fears are at supra-government level - the hidden corporations and cliques who can pull any string they want to with their wealth. Governments ard their playthings. THEY are the ones doing the conspiracies.

And they'll carry on merrily, because nobody cares, nobody worries, nobody researches...

See you on the barricades!

Someone on here once said that the GOVT isn't organized enough to pull off much of anything. I mean it is true. 😄
Corporations do not like lockdowns nor mandated vaccines or testing because it would cost them money. I think that is why that whole mess was ditched overnight last January.

@WalterF No doubt the powers would love to take away everything from the people and have total control. They been dreaming of that since day one. Pulling it off is another story entirely.
The problem with that though - suppose we lived in world where the people of places like the UK and USA and other developed nations had no hope of owning anything, no dreams, no nothing but servitude to the powers. The people would have nothing to lose and no reason not to destroy everything.

What would eventually happen is yeah the powers would own it all but all would be in ruins. You have heard the expression "The most dangerous guy in the room is the one who has nothing to lose."

People eventually push back. Even the people of China have been protesting lockdowns.
WalterF · 70-79, M
@CestManan It is my hope and dream that the people should rise up -peaceably - and say No more! Non-compliance by the majority will stop anything, even the filthy rich string-pullers
CestManan · 46-50, F
@WalterF It would be nice but there are people out there who need to be led around by the nose. Some of us like to make our own decisions but some people do not.
