Call For Old Covid Zealots

Whats your opinion now? Still wanting the covid injection mandated? Still think lockdowns work? Still think masks stop virus particles? Still thinking all restrictions were neccessary?

Or do have you any questions at this point?

Why, when talking about a virus, do topics about lockdowns and mandates come up? Is that how we refer to the Spanish flu or TB or pneumonia?

Yes, Covid is still very much alive and active and people are still getting it every day, which means people are dying night every day. Once again, you don’t get to create the rules reality. Look around the world.

@Graylight its covid not spanish flu/tb. Another bullying/mandate advocate below brought up the titanic. What is it with the nonsense comparisons?

So you still are all for covid mandates and in children too then?
WalterF · 70-79, M
@Graylight No previous epidemic (and there have been and will be many) has ever led to the destructive mass shutdown of society and the forcing of unproven medical treatments on people by job blackmail.

No previous administration ever considered it essential or even helpful to try to stop the spread of a virus by stopping all social interaction.

This concept is radical and threatening.

Sorry, but when speaking of the covid period, which fortunately The Scientists and The Experts have acknowledged as over, one is morally obliged to speak of mandates and lockdowns (the latter being a term previously used in the context of prisons).
Graylight · 51-55, F
@WalterF George Washington mandated inoculation among the continental troops.

There are vaccine mandates all over the place. Children may not enter private school without a host of them, and that’s a mandate.

But hey, more oxygen for the rest of us.

@Graylight And total societal lockdowns? with compulsory masking? and forbidding visits to the elderly dying in hospital?

This was INHUMAN. Can be compared to nothing ever before forced on a supposedly free society.
Graylight · 51-55, F
@WalterF Yeah, right. A society so free it's tripping over itself trying to reach extermination first.

Worldwide, there were hundreds of city-wide lockdowns. Something about millions of deaths that could be prevented. Nothing constitutional or unconstitutional about it.

But as long as you got yours, life is good, right? How fortunate you are to be able to issue opinions from an ivory tower when others have to live them out and better understand the matters than you could ever hope to locked up way on high,
revenant · F
@Graylight you are following CHINA 's model. Not really a free society here
Graylight · 51-55, F
@revenant Uh, no. Like to know the county that most successfully avoided Covid through lockdown? New Zealand.
WalterF · 70-79, M
@Graylight And the people are happy about that? Not exactly. Oh and of course China has a great lockdown policy (lockdown from the outside - the most efficient type). People are risking their lives to protest against it
