So i was reading the comments and came to the realization you might be serious. So heres a question. If the moon is round and the sun is round and multiple other cultures, including ancient ones depict the world is also round. Why would your government hide the fact that its flat? What do they gain from that?

It does not matter if the Earth is flat or curved. You built each pier or support column vertically. Then you join them with the spans which will simply connect to each other. Shape of the Earth is irrelevant because the distance between piers is small and the curvature of the Earth will only mean a difference of several millimeters at most, and likely within construction tolerances so it would probably would not be noticeable at all on each individual span and support. If the supports are all at the same elevation the bridge will be level but if it is long enough it will follow the curvature of the Earth naturally. They don’t have to “engineer” for the curved Earth.

So pilots all over the world are in on the secret? Telescope manufacturers make telescopes to give the "illusion" of a spherical earth? Some flight routes are there to decieve people?

I'm pretty sure your math is wrong, because if your numbers were correct, and I did the math correctly, then earth would drop an inch about every 6.5 feet. Which I believe we can both agree that doesn't happen.

Where the internet seems to suggest the actual numbers are 8 inches per mile, or an inch for every 7920 feet.

So instead of 6,990.5 feet drop, there would actually be less than 68.3 feet drop.

My head now hurts from reading that.

Do the people who make things like this truly believe in this stupidity, or are they just trolling the idiots who do believe it for the LOLs?
