Why do people have to be so rude to me instead of helping me to straighten out misunderstandings on SW?

Rude and hateful people are the bane of social media. They take advantage of their anonymity to act in ways they never would in real life. All we can do is block people like this and report them, when appropriate. The good news is that most people don't act like jerks, either in the virtual world or the real world.

Sorry you're having this problem. Just know that you are far from alone.

If they were n't being rude to you - they would be being rude to someone else - that is the way they are - they have nothing better to do in their lives I am afraid.

Some people butt in where they don't belong. As well as have to get the last word. I know exactly how you feel.

If it's any comfort, it's they who will not try to understand anything.

I don't know why such people use "social [?] media" when their desire to discuss anything civilly is so bad.

@Crazychick nor where I grew up either.... I can only imagine that their parents dis not discipline their bottoms often enough!

I don't see people actually being rude to me, I think they just ignore me.
And, I've had the same feelings about them helping me straighten out misunderstandings. Or, at least letting me [i]know[/i] they've misunderstood something I've said to them. But, I guess their thinking they [i]know[/i] the meaning of what I've said locks out their interest to look any farther. I think a lot of people just have to be right about everything, whether they're right or not.

A lot of people don't function on social media the way they do in everyday life. For some reason there's a disconnect between seeing an online profile and understanding behind it is a real person with real emotions and feelings.
I don't know why that is.

Too many people, I have something like a rage addiction. The hormone cortisol, and small doses does one thing but in larger doses does another. And I think a lot of people become addicted to outrage Thereby so it is in their best interest to not be helpful
