We're pleased to announce some great news.
Increase Font Size 🔍 🆎 🅰️🅱️
We have implemented a Font Size adjustment feature so users can increase the font size of the Posts, Replies, Messages, and Text Fields.
You can find it in the same place where we have the Dark Mode setting:
This feature is aimed at enhancing readability, making our website more accessible and user-friendly for those who need it.
Dark Mode improvements 🌃📱
We've made significant improvements to Dark Mode on SimilarWorlds.
We've added a new option, "System Mode", which automatically adjusts to match your device's settings. If your device is set to Dark Mode (or Battery Saver), SW will automatically enable Dark Mode for you. This is the default option going forward, but users can always select "Light Mode" to enable it permanently. This improvement extends to the logged-out view, where previously only Light Mode was available.

We've also introduced image previews on Posts in the Feeds.
To ensure a safe and relevant experience, several factors and checks are in place to prevent spam or inappropriate images from appearing. The visibility of these previews may also depend on the context, such as whether you follow the user.
Massive performance improvements and bug fixes 🚀
While we haven't posted regular updates recently, we've been actively listening to user feedback and collaborating with many members to address issues with SimilarWorlds. This includes resolving bugs, fixing accessibility concerns, and tackling performance and slowness problems.
In addition, we're continuously enhancing our server and database infrastructure to ensure better security, modernization, and overall performance improvements.

Some things we're currently working on:
▪️ Video Uploads 🎞️ - We currently allow uploads of static images and animated GIFs. Soon, we'll allow uploads of actual videos with sound!
▪️ Take a Photo with Camera 🤳🏻 - While this is currently possible in the Photo Albums pages, it's not yet possible to quickly Take a Photo with Camera in the tools available when you are typing a message. We will soon provide this option under the Insert Image button.
▪️ Remove Limits/Quota of Image Uploads ♾️ - We will soon remove the quota that is currently applied to Photo Albums, which often requires users to delete old images in order to add new ones.

We were friends with a couple who had a small forest too and they used to own cows, chickens and ducks and the babies (birds) would follow the woman like she's their mum. When she retold me those stories of days long ago, it was as if I was THERE :D

These are all terrific improvements, esp the image limit for non vips. Being able to add gifs and such to comments can add a lot of expression, and its a great idea.
I think people forget, or take for granted that you are always tweaking and trying to improve this place. I know not everything goes as planned - but overall....SW has a great format that truly isnt found anywhere else.
Please - enlarge the font in the message box where you type. I cannot proofread my outgoing messages without my contacts and make many typos. The larger fonts are great up to that point. Thanks.
@Nuno Many years ago our profile pictures used to be very large next to our questions and then they got smaller over time. I would be cool to see that again but its just a thought.
@ScarletWitch There is probably some confusion here, but I don't recall the images being larger than they are now. Maybe unintentionally, they were showing bigger on your device? I'm looking at some screenshots I have from 2016, and they look the same as now.
Thank you for all the work you do here. All members here appreciate everything you do behind the scenes. Similar Worlds is the best forum I am currently a member of, with the vast majority of members expressing positivity. Well done @Nuno @Andrew Plus all other members willing to assist those of us not so tech savvy.🙂
It just came to my attention that you can't sort photos into folders and keep them 100% private
You can not delete all your all photos at once. Since I can't sort my 700 photos and keep them private, I was just going to delete them all. I like privacy
Why is there a limit on deleting photos anyways? Why can't we sort photos into folder and still them private? It is either Everyone or Friends Only
@HumanEarth That's a real pain for me when it comes to my coin collection, too.
I'd talk about them a lot more than I do if I had a way to sort them into some sort of order because I've enjoyed answering some of the questions I've gotten on my coin tonight - even though I posted for help more than anything else.
@HumanEarth Hello. Someone has recently suggested that to us, and our response was that we'll take that in consideration, allowing for more private albums when we release the Video Uploads. 👍🏻
That's great news, but would it be possible to add a microphone or a group messaging option that would allow three users to message one another simultaneously?
