Who’s your favourite standup Comedian?
Mine are Jo Koy, Taylor Tomlinson, Nate Bargatze, Tom Segura, Iliza Shlesinger, Jimmy Carr and Michael McIntyre.

For a point of reference, google a guy who was widely considered to be the very first stand-up comedian. He was copied by no less than Bob Hope and Jack Benny - - Frank Fay.
If you want to see/hear him in action, watch something called Show of Shows (1928). He acted as the host for this musical/ comedy revue. You won't believe how corny and unfunny the whole mess was. A clip:

Incidentally, this fool was the inspiration for the loser drunk husband in the first A Star is Born.

@TradEmily Not really when you are an immigrant on the receiving end of it on a daily basis in a country that might just be the equal of the USA when it comes to a racism problem.
And it is a way to point out the serious problem without turning the people mostly guilty of it from getting hurt feelings and lashing out.
