I attended catholic school for 12 years and almost ALL of the teachers were nuns and some priests.....and they scared all of us with their discipline with a yardstick. But that guy looks just like the pictures that were on the wall in all of the classrooms...🤔
I went to catholic school from age 5 until I graduated from university so I know what you mean about the strict discipline but none of us were punished physically, thank goodness!😊

It's the same with our King Felipe of Spain, and many monarchs before him, his portrait is hung in all government buildings ( in the Senate, Justice Hall, City Halls etc.). An ancient tradition. Its significance is simply symbolic, that he is Head of State☺
When my mother had her first church secretary job in the late 70's, she had a "student preacher" that tried coming in with that whole jesus look for a youth pastor gig, the head preacher told him to cut his hair and shave his beard and moustache off, that he wasn't impressed with it.
