Guess I didn't laugh enough as a kid. 😑

Love me some comedy though.

You’ve only listed American comedians. Theres a LOT of top British ones too.
Convivial · 26-30, F
@Umile you should watch the entire movie.... It's really quite brilliant🤣
Jimbo7 · M

Jimbo7 · M

HumanEarth · 56-60, F
You don't have one of my favorites listed up there.

Foster Brooks
American actor and comedian (1912-2001)

Foster Brooks was an American actor and comedian best known for his portrayal of a lovable drunk in nightclub performances and television programs.

Then you didn't even list Don Rickles, Bob Newhart them are some great ones to.

But here is someone you should sample their comedy. Jay Johnson the ventriloquist and not the other famous Jay Johnson.

This guy was best known for playing Chuck & Bob

Here here is a sample video. Check them out

@HumanEarth share em. I love a good comedy.
HumanEarth · 56-60, F
@Umile How old would you like me to go? I can go all the way back to silent movie days if you.

I might even have to upload to Some Video Hosting website like YouTube or something
Umile · 41-45, F
@HumanEarth :) no. Its alright. Didn't realize how much comedy lovers are on here. Makes sense though. Everyone gets sad. And comedy is a great distraction.
Ferric67 · M
Where's George Carlin?
Umile · 41-45, F
@Ferric67 Is he that good? Google gonna get tired of me today.
Ferric67 · M
@Umile might be the best, according to some tastes
JohnnyNoir · 56-60, M
No George Carlin?
MasterLee · 56-60, M
@JohnnyNoir no kidding
JovialMoose · 51-55, M
The best comedian is the one who uses their abilities to lift others when it is needed.

I once read an article about Robin Williams visiting sick kids (regularly) as Santa.

We will never see those acts but you know they probably made those kids laugh.

A lot of “comedians” are just shock jocks that get an awkward laugh out of people. That’s not humor. It’s commentary with a bit of wit.
Umile · 41-45, F
@JovialMoose very true
SW-User
Can't seem to be able to find Robin Williams on Ur list🤨
Umile · 41-45, F
@SW-User Oh shoot. Forgot him too. Good soul. RIP. I'll add him for you.

therighttothink50 · 56-60, M
Don Rickles.
Umile · 41-45, F
@therighttothink50 Who is that?
bugeye · 26-30, F
between these for me it's a toss up between Dave Chapelle and Eddie Griffin. however there is one iconic legendary comedian not on this list. Billy Connolly
Umile · 41-45, F
@bugeye Why does that name sound familiar?
bugeye · 26-30, F
@Umile hes an amazing Scottish comedian. If you've never seen him please look him up. Im sure nost of his biggest specials are on youtube
SW-User
There's a special talent you didn't list. This guy - - (WARNING!! Very filthy!!)

Umile · 41-45, F
@SW-User Maybe. Not too raunchy though. This one went too far. Omg.
SW-User
@Umile

Understood. But if you change your mind you won't be disappointed... because it is BRILLIANT!

Patrice was my guy, too... may he RIP
2ndtimeguy · 61-69, M
Voted for Richard Pryor he was like no other comedian could keep it clean for TV but tear it up nasty in person no props no accents just him being funny!
Umile · 41-45, F
@2ndtimeguy All the comedians bow to that guy. And I mean, it was in their time.
WillaKissing · 56-60
Robin Williams unequivocal talent.
Umile · 41-45, F
@WillaKissing Yes. He had such a great soul.
WillaKissing · 56-60
@Umile Who knew he had such a terrible depression, damn shame.
Umile · 41-45, F
@WillaKissing Well, they say that the happiest ones are the saddest. And I think it's true.

Umile · 41-45, F
@nedkelly pretty cool.
Eyeinthesky · 56-60, F
Eddie Murphy is so talented. 😍
Umile · 41-45, F
@Eyeinthesky Very true. The guys storytelling in his comedies is just .... 😘
@saragoodtimes All he talks about are his drinking exploits, coming from a family of drunks it puts me off.
Ynotisay · M
My guy isn't on the list. Love John Mulaney. Steve Martin and George Carlin aren't there either. Shows that comedy is very subjective. Different comics hit different people.
Umile · 41-45, F
@Ynotisay You're absolutely right. Your taste is common amongst the british side i think..
Ynotisay · M
@Umile You might be right. It's a great thing about comedy. Different sensibilities appreciate different forms. I've always thought Brits seem to like story telling, absurdity and intelligence. So it would make sense if they liked those guys.
SW-User
I don't have a favourite , I like several from this list alone.

And there are several more missing.
Umile · 41-45, F
@SW-User Do tell.
I always thought Robin Williams was the most talented comedian. Steve Martin should be on the list too.
Umile · 41-45, F
@BizSuitStacy He is Funny. This List gonna be ever changing. 🤣
MasterLee · 56-60, M
Foxworthy or Bill Barr maybe
Umile · 41-45, F
@uncalled4 That's the one I forgot. Want me to put him on for you?
uncalled4 · 56-60, M
@Umile he would be my pick
@MasterLee Foxworthy and Engall are great, Bill Barr, meh.
Penny · 46-50, F
i just saw a short video of David Spade on FB. I thought it was funny.
Umile · 41-45, F
@Penny He can be funny.
GerOttman · 61-69, M
For straight up, stand up. Jim Jefferies!

Umile · 41-45, F
@GerOttman Pretty good.
Adogslife · 61-69, M
Bill Burr. Hilarious dude.

Easily my #1.
minxy · 46-50, F
Drew Lynch.
[media=https://youtu.be/v3I0YsfMJS8]
Jay Hickman needs to be on that list. My kids need to be on that list, a lot of others who no one ever heard of need to be on that list. I have favorites for the moments in life,
I liked Richard Pryor and Robin Williams even more in their acting roles than in their stand up.
The comedians I liked for their comedy were George Carlin, Bill Hicks, Dick Gregory, Alonzo Bodden and Richard Jeni.
Pfuzylogic · M
John Kleenex.
I need “silly walk”.
therighttothink50 · 56-60, M

uncalled4 · 56-60, M
I've only seen Murphy/Chappelle/Rock stand-up. It would be tough to pick even between those three.
Umile · 41-45, F
@uncalled4 They are pretty good. It's hard to top Eddie, but Chapelle can hold his own.
Zonuss · 41-45, M
D.L. Hughley id the funniest of them all. 🙂
Musicman · 61-69, MVIP
Of that group Robin Williams, but Jeff Dunham is my favorite.
Umile · 41-45, F
@Musicman Another one. He's crazy.
Bob Newhart, his dry humor never failed to make me laugh.
