Well, you can hear other vehicles better which you might need to do if you don't know where you're going and you can think clearer. Simpletons like me need it anyway!!

same theory apply as my brother during younger years when he first got driving license,when driving at night without street light and my dad car headlamp is dim so he turn on the light in car cabin said it help him see better 🤷

It's called the ability to focus. Not many people are blessed with it.

I turn the radio down if I'm driving fast on the highway and see a police car in the u-turn. 🤣
