I’m a vegan and I eat meals with loved ones who are meat eaters bc we’re all educated enough to know the world has diversity re what we eat and there can be unity in that with a little open mindedness
I was a meat eater once too and the meal I had was always appreciated because that animal died for me to enjoy it and I did enjoy it 🙏🏼
This is how I feel vegans should be buut there’s always one that gives it a bad name … same with any lifestyle choice really lol
If it happened to me I would just lol and walk away wishing em a good day 😌
@SW-User I'd say it's rare to see a tolerant one anymore.

No. Despite what people think, most vegans don't really care what you eat. They made a personal choice that has nothing to do with you. I don't understand the vegan hate. Are people afraid of vegans?
@SW-User I've noticed this too, I've heard a few non-vegans acting like vegans are trying to force their lifestyle on everyone when in reality they've made a personal lifestyle change for themselves and are not waving it around like a flag. Some people feel threatened by lifestyle choices that go in a different direction from their own.

@robingoodfellow if it's not one thing it's another. And veganism is as non threatening as it gets.

@robingoodfellow I long for a day when we can be ourselves and exist without criticism and hate.
No, never once. Although I've only been at a meat counter to buy something for my animal companions, for decades, I've certainly been around them countless times.
I believe this ever happening is quite rare. While I do care very much that many to most humans eat WAY more meat than they 'need' to, the kind of thing you've described is surely counter-productive to changing anyone's mind about that.
One at a landscape & garden center lectured a man who was in his early 50’s about how cruel it is to consume dairy products. He waited patiently till the lecture was over (and it was verbatim from something that had been flowing over the internet the previous week). Then he replied “ That’s why I always raise a calf and pasture-feed it and butcher it for my own meat.” That shut her up and was waiting till she came to me with her spiel but she didn’t and walked on. Calling calves “baby cows” was a big clue about her cluelessness.
Nope! I live in New England. Typically, New Englanders are rather stand offish and don't talk to strangers at the market. Unless, of course, they are from New York City. Then all bets are off...🤣🤣🤣
lol, no. But I have this family member that wont eat at a table if it has non vegan food at it and will joyfully lecture us all. Holidays are a real treat.
When I was a checker at a grocery store 20 minutes SW of DownTown Portland, Oregon, back in 1997, the calis and east coasters were starting to arrive in in droves into the area and show their aggressive presence. A group of them ahowed up while I was on shift and staged protest in our meat department, within ten minutes about 30 cops ran through the front to the back and hauled them out while they were kicking and screaming, patrons and us employees applauding and cheering them on.
