No, never once. Although I've only been at a meat counter to buy something for my animal companions, for decades, I've certainly been [i]around[/i] them countless times.
I believe this ever happening is quite rare. While I do care very much that many to most humans eat WAY more meat than they 'need' to, the kind of thing you've described is surely counter-productive to changing anyone's mind about that.
