I’ve never been to several of these places so I can’t really say how good they are 😂 And it’s not even an option on here but Wienerschnitzel’s fries are criminally underrated
I haven't been to all of them but McDonalds are my favorite from those choices. The smell, the taste, the mouth feel when they're hot.
Least favorite is In n Out. Which is too bad because their burgers are so great. They don't seem to blanch their fries. So they're not very crispy. They just throw them fresh into the oil. And ordering them well done just makes them hard.
Fries made at home are the best. I don’t ever reuse oil if I fry them and will use something like avocado oil. Also make baked fries that are lightly coated in olive oil and salted that are good. Deep-fried foods from restaurants causes free-radical damage to DNA causing it to unravel. I believe the waffle fries at Chick Fil A are air-baked.
@Ashly I have to be careful - I actually dropped 5 pounds a few years ago by not eating their fries (of course I always got the large or extra large size)
Definitely Five Guys. They search every year for the perfect potato fields. And they buy ONLY from those farmers whose fields pass their strict taste tests. When the fries are served, they are overflowing the paper fry container and handed to you in a paper bag. They could not possibly taste MORE like perfect home made French fries.
Wienerschnitz!!! There is one outside a certain major public university near me that (thankfully and I do give thanks for it here on Thxgvg lol) has been there foreverrrrr! 👏👏👏👏
Five Guys. Best fries, best burgers. The last time I indulged was when my sister bought me some for my birthday. 🤤

@bijouxbroussard I agree. We don't have many of the chains in the list but Five Guys is much better than the ones I have tried. They always display the farm the potatoes are from here. I don't know if they do that everywhere.
