@Ferric67 interesting, I'd try that combo, ordinarily I prefer not letting food intrude on the sublme chalky minerality of a traditionally styled Sancerre ... it might be fun to try both that and a New World grapefruit bomb with the pie and see which seems more fitting / which seems like more of a waste on pie (my prejudice is leaning toward saving a Kim Crawford for the pie and just sipping a Hippoltyte Reverdy without any flavor distractions from food, but who knows)
