"Full English Breakfact" - is that a fact?

I've had them all at sometime - no jellied eels or chicken tikka masala for some time though. I prefer tikka without sauce. And I'm just recovering from a huge portion of fish & chips.
meggie · F
@ArtieKat a lot of cafes serve a full english bfast all day now. Your fish and chips look amazing. I had some cooked in beef dripping once and must say, they were the best ever.
ArtieKat · M
@meggie I think you missed the point that I was making about the Full English

The fish & chips we had for lunch were very good. Back in the 1990s I worked in a little Yorkshire pit-village where a chippy in someone's front room fried everything in beef dripping - as you said: amazing

Only fish and chips and shepherd's pie, at a restaurant ("Irish pub" in the US).

Yet the pie was white inside.

I had no clue what they rest even were before I saw your post. I had heard of a few, though. And about the beans. I do not even like beans for dinner.

I'm not English,however
(American) and we have different names for a few,but since it's basically the same food, I counted them in total.
You are never getting me to eat haggis, blood pudding, or jellied eels, however.😱
Banksy83 · 41-45, M
@Justmeraeagain the blood "black" pudding is quite nice olde girl
Justmeraeagain · 56-60, F
@Banksy83 sorry old man sounds gross 🤮
cherokeepatti · 61-69, F
Chicken Tikka Masala and Sunday roast, without the Yorkshire pudding. I would make gluten-free tapioca-cheese rolls instead for a Sunday roast. They are like Yorkshire pudding but with added cheese.
SunshineGirl · 36-40, F
100%.

"Game Pie" looks like Black Pudding slightly rearranged 😅

So much pastry and potato . . I've got indigestion just from looking at the pictures.

And much too much beige . . our young ones are encouraged by school to "eat the rainbow".
I don’t eat fish or black pudding. I’ll try haggis if I was in Scotland but otherwise never tried it. All the others I have eaten.
pride49 · 31-35, M
@Gingerbreadspice Congealed blood does not sound appetizing
@pride49 You’re right.
supersnipe · 61-69, M
Most of them, but then, I have spent most of my life in England. Beef Wellington is 😋😀, but really only as a special treat or celebration.
meggie · F
@supersnipe yes it's probably the most expensive pictured meal
lissah · 36-40, F
3. Fish and chips, roast, and shepherds pie. I never heard of the others before.
Chicken tikka masala. Other than that I've never been to the Shire.
DearAmbellina2113 · 41-45, F
We do these regularly but I'm in the US.
BlobbyMcBlobface · 56-60, M
I've eaten everything except chicken and leek pie and jellied eels.

GnomeyGee · 41-45, M
Six of them and bubble & squeak is my favorite 🤤🤤
meggie · F
@GnomeyGee i love bubble & squeak too.
SpudMuffin · 61-69, M
I've had all these except Black Pudding with mash - WTF?
Banksy83 · 41-45, M
@SpudMuffin never heard of that one 😳
pride49 · 31-35, M

British cuisine is very inedible. Spent a month in Africa with British chefs. Lost 30 pounds. Those chefs can screw up lettuce.
Thevy29 · 41-45, M
No wonder you Brits colonized as much of the world as you could... I wouldn't stay home either if that lot is all you had to eat. 😅
Monalisasmith86 · 41-45, F
@Thevy29 all Indians have rice everything else a sort of curry
Zonuss · 46-50, M
Fish n chips. A thousand times before.
CrazyMusicLover · 31-35
0, I don't even know these meals.
meggie · F
@CrazyMusicLover you must of had a roast or fish and chips before?
CrazyMusicLover · 31-35
@meggie Fish with French fries at most. I don't know what roast is.
Eaten all except jellied eels
Celt50 · 51-55, M
Never have or will eat jellied eels 🤢
meggie · F
@Celt50 me neither. I think traditionally they were served with pie and mash and liquor.
Banksy83 · 41-45, M
