I actually love breakfast. It's my favorite meal of the day, and it doesn't need to be fancy. My fiancé loves need in the morning. So I'm on my own for breakfast most of the time. 🙂
@KiwiBird Lol yup, precisely the same. On weekend's she gets up around 10-ish and there's usually a cup of coffee and breakfast of some sort on the night table waiting for her.
I used to go up the street for coffee and a breakfast with my wife almost every day as part of her routine.. I dont go now .. But the people in the cafe still stop me as I pass and ask about her.. And me. Which is nice..😷
I meet with a group of folks that retired from the same place I did. We call it the "Old Fart's Breakfast Club". We try to meet once a quarter. Usually there are a group of 15-25 of us taking over a local restaurant. We eat breakfast and talk about how great we were back in the day.
Occasionally I will meet with friends for breakfast/brunch, but not often.
@bowman81 That sounds like a lot of fun. Years ago I used to get together with friends for dinner—we’d meet after work. We called our group "Whining and Dining".
The wife and I will go to breakfast maybe once a week on the weekend. Depends on what else is going on. I'll order pancakes with scrapple usually, there's a spot down the shore that has a meat lovers bowl that gets it done too!!
@Coralmist Kind of a local thing. Rumor is, they take all the leftover scraps from the floor and mash it into a little brick. I don't really want to know how it's made.
Just looked it up, I knew I didn't want to know this...
I have a group of friends with whom I go for breakfast every Saturday morning.
Most of the guys have a "regular" order, or maybe just vary it a little. I'm the most unpredictable, but one thing I like is eggs over easy on top of hashbrowns.
I am not a fan of Hollandaise sauce, so no eggs Benedict for me!
Going out for food is a luxury - don't go out for breakfast very often as I don't have anyone to go with other than when my 7 yo daughter is staying with me.
@CrazyMusicLover I find it's pretty pricey, so I only do it once in a while. But there are a few diners that serve delicious pancakes or omelette at a an affordable price, I enjoy that.
@jshm2 Same. I make a pretty good omelette so I rarely go out for breakfast. Plus the price is absurd, $17 for eggs and toast?? And that price was even before the egg shortage. 😮
So I Def enjoy lunch out more. There is though an IHOP pancake and egg special that is 7 bucks I get every couple months.
Only on Saturdays, but not every week. Full Scottish breakfast is always good. Bacon Eggs Sausage Black pudding Haggis Tomatoes Baked beans Mushrooms Tattie Scone
@ArtieKat I get that dish at a diner not far from me every couple months...it's just so good!! They use a rich homemade Hollandaise, unlike other diners, it's watery.
Usually once a week. I like sausage gravy and home fries, waffles and pancakes. One local restaurant has a very nice Corned Beef Hash too. 😋 All of this at very reasonable prices.
