scary stuff but nope hardly read that at all while shopping

AbbeyRhode · F
Yep, have been for years. After I had my son, I was appalled to discover the crap they put in baby food and vitamins. Then I started reading the labels on what I was eating as well. It's horrible how much absolute garbage is put into our food.
cherokeepatti · 61-69, F
@AbbeyRhode We are living in a real Batman movie. These are the work of the Joker. If you remember the Batman movie made in the 80’s or early 90’s the Joker was contaminating a lot of things. Remember that scene where the news broadcaster ladies were doing news and not wearing any makeup? They were poisoning cosmetics. What we need is for Batman to come back. I think he is secretly working with the White Hats to bring these people down that are doing it but it’s going to take evidence of who did it and what is being contaminated and that takes time. I believe that’s why the FDA is saying they believe the applesauce was deliberately contaminated and they are investigating. I have heard that a lot of CEO’s have been removed “resigned” and this is probably the reason why.
@cherokeepatti I completely believe that. I love to eat meat. But I've been buying my meat directly from the farmers and bypassing the FDA and the grocery stores. I have noticed a huge difference in how I feel. Not to mention have you ever tasted what a hamburger is supposed to taste like? Can you imagine a hamburger that tastes double better than any old steak? It's true. Most people wouldn't believe it unless they tried it.

@IndianaJoes I was born on a farm. We raised all of our animals to butcher. It was grass-fed and good. One reason people were leaner back then is due to that. It has a much higher level of a fatty acid called CLA that promotes muscle growth and helps prevent or repair torn muscles.
PatKirby · M
Well I've already swallowed a flying grasshopper while jogging by a field and was breathing heavily. Does that count?
@PatKirby they say that grasshoppers are actually very healthy to eat. In some countries it is a delicatessen. And some people will coat them in melted chocolate. My chickens really like to eat them and I like to really eat my chickens. Lol. I'm sure you'll be fine after swallowing the grasshopper.
This is probably a sad fact actually. We have a Tyson's plant not far from where I live that makes the Tyson's hot dogs. And I'm pretty sure last year it was something like 9 million pounds of Tyson meat was recalled. Now try to swallow this one... I estimate that's somewhere in the neighborhood of 200 refrigerated semi trailers! If I see Tyson on package then I don't buy it, period!
Thevy29 · 41-45, M
Do the same with cool drinks and you'll never drink any of them again.
caPnAhab · 26-30, M
Just out of curiosity sometimes.
I care as much about eating bugs...

as I care about unknowingly consuming miscellaneous discarded chicken pieces. Or whatever other various animal parts... not too much
Heartlander · 80-89, M
With a bit of cynicism. Like Low Sodium often means High Fat or High Sugar.
iamnikki · 31-35, F
@Heartlander yep, one thing is swapped for another.
cherokeepatti · 61-69, F
@Heartlander When the low fat trend was happening I noticed every low-fat product had higher carbs.
Yes, I finally found tortillas that don't have aluminum, now I have to check for bugs...🤦🏼‍♂️
PatKirby · M
@UnderLockDown

What brand was it, Abuelita?
@PatKirby La Banderita.
Musicman · 61-69, M
This is so disgusting! 🤢 I have recently started reading labels. I guess I need to start paying more attention.
ill BBQ and eat a politician before chomping on a single bug...
I do read them. Never know what will be in your food.
Fairydust · F
I do yes and if people knew what was in the food they ate they wouldn’t eat it.[image deleted]
Fairydust · F
@cherokeepatti

💯 takeover!! Coming for us at every angle.

yeah I have a berkey water filter, I seen the lawsuit stuff, they don’t want us having them!

They’ve been poisoning our water for years, that’s why they recommended 8 glasses a day!!
@cherokeepatti Noticeable difference in my garden using a fluoride filter for the water. Plants are small and and sickly without the filter, huge and productive with it.
Fairydust · F
@UnderLockDown
They spray the skies constantly, this must cause issues in plants and insects. 🐝
I wonder what locust beans are? I've seen that before on the ingredients label also.
cherokeepatti · 61-69, F
@IndianaJoes They can be eaten raw, cooked or made into a flour and used in various recipes.
@cherokeepatti well I might need to look into this but I was wondering why I haven't seen it in the ingredients in a while. Now I know. The FDA has likely deemed it as too healthy and will affect the health of the profit of our government's big pharma. So they'll just replace locust beans with just locusts and be moths.
cherokeepatti · 61-69, F
@IndianaJoes Read what I responded to Fairydust about what they are doing with our water supply.
DeWayfarer · 61-69, M
You probably don't even know that the FDA has a minimum acceptable amount of those out of each in EVERY food product!

Including things not shown, like rat droppings and weevils!

Most flour has weevil eggs unless you irradiate (microwave) the whole bag.
TheBannibalOne · 61-69, M
Now I will.😐
Repete · 61-69, M
Of course I read the labels, I’d hate to get home with a bag of salt instead of sugar or a can of beans instead of tomatoes.
I don’t always read the fine print ,it’s usually just fine the way it is.
Flenflyys · 31-35, F
I do read my labels, and I’m pretty picky about what enters my or my family’s bodies. And that’s just disgusting.
@Flenflyys you are smart to do that. I'm sure that many people don't. I never used to pay much attention to it either. But now the way all of these health problems seem to be coming on mysteriously... I've taken a second thought and learned something that scares the pants off of me. In fact I found it quite interesting to study about the truth of what we're putting in our bodies when we buy it from a grocery store and what it has to go through before it's legally able to go on the shelves. I'm also studying about detoxes. One of the most impressive ones so far is the activated charcoal capsules. I have noticed a lot of things getting much better and improved. I have a better sense of smell and a better sense of taste after only a week of using the activated charcoal tablets. Seems strange to put charcoal in my body but after reading up about it... And trying it... And learning about toxins themselves and how they get lodged into places in our body... I think this stuff's helping remove a lot of bad things.
Djac17 · 22-25, M
They haven’t actually put those in there YET. They just partnered with a pro bug protein company for research, but yeah. Keep checking the labels.
DallasCowboysFan · 61-69, M
I read them but I did not know they were insects.
Its too bad that we can't pass laws making all of our food natural, no additives.
Fairydust · F

You betcha. I don't want to eat any of those critters. 🤢
Sroonaka616 · 31-35, M
Only for cooking instructor
I read labels routinely.
Raaii · 22-25, F
[c=800000]yes it's necessary [/c]
That’s crazy.
Azlotto · M
Yes. So much it takes me a long time to shop.
sciguy18 · M
I always did; even more so since I’ve had health issues.
Mmmm, yummy, added protein.
