@bijouxbroussard Met him in a pub, had a couple of beers with him. I was born and raised less than 2 miles from a film studio. I met a few, he was the first one that came to mind. Tom Jones lived opposite our school.

I went to see Maya Angelou speak at a college with a friend who was a professor there. The two of us and a couple of other friends went backstage to meet her afterwards and she invited us to have dinner with her at her hotel. She was really nice, had a great sense of humor.

@bijouxbroussard Yes, at a place called Waterside in Norfolk, VA. He came into a restaurant there, that I, my then husband, and a couple of his radio friends were in. We were there to see him and some other music artists perform. Anyway, they closed the restaurant a little early...but let us stay. We talked with him for a least an hour.

Clint Eastwood. It was about 15 years ago and I was in Aspen Colorado for a week of skiing. Arriving at the bottom of the ski hill, I jumped onto a double ski lift chair with some ski-masked stranger sitting beside me... and as we both took off our ski masks and looked at each other, I told Clint Eastwood who he was!
He thanked me for telling him his identity because his girlfriend told him in a heated moment that she thought he was coming down with dementia! We then chatted for the next 15 minutes until we got to the top of the hill and parted ways!

Tony Bennett. I sat beside Tony Bennett on a flight from London Heathrow to Toronto. Very philosophical man. He said he always discouraged people who wanted to be just like him. Instead he said, "be yourself and you won't have to remember anything!".

Billy Joe from Green Day in Switzerland. He signed my shirt and we exchanged a few words. I also walked past Lawrence Fishburne in Sydney when he was filming the matrix. He was looking at me smiling maybe in a slightly mocking way. I thought I recognised him as some well-known persona in my hometown in Switzerland. But soon after I realised it was Lawrence Fishburne.
