What Is The Scariest Thing You Have Experienced?

Watching my baby be resuscitated
InvictusIndigo · 22-25, M
@V00doo holy crap - I can't even begin to imagine what that feeling is like
InHeaven · F
I would die @V00doo on the spot
WaryWitchWandering · 36-40, F
@V00doo I can’t even imagine without feeling dread
Loretta78 · 46-50, F
When 24 years ago someone tried to kidnap my baby.
InvictusIndigo · 22-25, M
@Loretta78 holy Jesus...
Jenny1234 · 51-55, F
@Loretta78 what happened
Loretta78 · 46-50, F
@Jenny1234 My former's husbands friend attacked me, pushed me to floor and tried to kidnap my son.

If not that some people who observed that would have helped me I never would have seen my son again.

Maybe I even would be death now. Who knows?
My cousin and I were driving back to our college dorms from Stone Mountain and some confederate flag waving fools shot out our back window. 😰
@bijouxbroussard oh shit!!😰
@SHREKPage Luckily, my cousin got us away, quickly.
@bijouxbroussard i'm glad to hear that!🤗
Docdon23 · M
when my son Oded on drugs and was close to death
@InvictusIndigo my son punched me thru a broken window, he told the cops I cut him with a knife. I believe I can sue, not only my estranged son that I was reaching out to help, but also the officer that fell hook line and sinker for some fake ass baby mama drama, and the prosecutor for corroborating a false statement to officers in an investigation.
@Jenny1234 no, she did, and kept him from me in his youth, and kicked him out at 15. The law is a joke.
Jenny1234 · 51-55, F
@checkoutanytime it’s no wonder he’s so angry and broken. Hopefully you can repair your relationship. Children need us more than anything
@Jenny1234 it's a delusion, fueled by rage, and I did take the proper steps initially, how can I be responsible for the law?
ZashaKitty · 26-30, F
Being forcibly admitted to a psychiatric hospital as a teen and feeling like my family had abandoned me there.
greenmountaingal · 70-79, F
@ZashaKitty I came very close to this in my childhood and teens. You have my admiration for surviving it.
ZashaKitty · 26-30, F
@greenmountaingal thank you and sorry to hear you came close to it. Truly a horrible thing to go through

Hard to decide probably my stroke in 2018, or the time my stepfather choked me until I passed out but told how he was going to dispose of my body and how I'd never be found while choking me
kodiac · 22-25, M
Childhood. Lived in fear for most of it.
greenmountaingal · 70-79, F
@kodiac Yeah, me too. Sucked.
kodiac · 22-25, M
@greenmountaingal Sorry you know that pain to

SubstantialKick · 31-35, M
Being Code 5'd by the police, aka felony stop.
SubstantialKick · 31-35, M
@InvictusIndigo My first and only thought was to just do what they told me first and then get it sorted out. They reran the plate and my only offense was an expired tag, which I got a written warning for. Oh, and they apologized.
@SubstantialKick Woah, they apologized ? That’s really something.
SubstantialKick · 31-35, M
@bijouxbroussard Yep. There are good cops out there, and luckily the ones I interacted with were.
Eternity · 26-30, M
Had an allergic reaction to a sedative and basically thought that I died.

Intense pain followed by a slip into unconsciousness; I slept the sleep of the dead.

When I woke up I was like "hm. So this is hell huh? Wonder when the torment starts..."
MiserableAtBest · 18-21, F
I’ve experienced a lot of terrifying things in life, but being assaulted at knife point beats them all. It was the only time in my life in which I was certain I was going to die.
@MiserableAtBest no joke I have 🤬scars. & my son of all people comes along & says I caused his wounds with a knife. 🖕 homey don't play that game
greenmountaingal · 70-79, F
Being kidnapped by one of my mother's enemies and held prisoner all day in a abandoned house, tied up and blindfolded, told I would be raped and tortured. Amazingly, I actually fought my way out of it, ran away, developed traumatic amnesia for an hour or so, regained enough of my memory to find my way home, called police, policeman arrived at my house to interview me about the crime but he didn't believe me. I insisted on pressing charges. Police took me into a police car and we found the house where I was held prisoner. Man who'd kept me there was still unconscious--I was afraid I'd killed him. But they woke him up and put him in an ambulance. He was fine. They charged him with a few felonies, found him guilty, sentenced him to 5 years in prison, suspended.
It took me about 8 months to fully recover physically. I still have tooth trouble in one tooth from the fight to free myself. Mentally, it still lingers in my mind. None of my friends was supportive. I'm still proud that I successfully fought my way out of that situation.
DeluxedEdition · 26-30, F
I thought I was going to die (from a car accident) at the age of 18 and I had an infant (5 month old) and her dad was too incapable of taking care of her if I died.

It’s a scary feeling having to tell yourself and accept the reality that “wow you might actually die today.”
Jenny1234 · 51-55, F
I was in a taxi on the highway in Vegas and a guy in the car next to me pulled a gun on my taxi. He held pointed at us for probably 20 seconds but it seemed like an eternity. Then he put it away and kept driving
smiler2012 · 56-60
{@invictusindigo] in 1981 when a van i was in turned over trying to avoid a tractor on a country road . neither the driver or i where hurt just shook up by it
smiler2012 · 56-60

Nanori · F
Which one do u wanna hear? 🤕
One was waking up in the middle of a night to my mom pointing a knife to my throat threatening to kill me if I ever lie to her.
Beatbox34 · 31-35, M
A motorcycle accident a decade ago. I passed out in a seizure and still have no recollection of what happened.

When I woke up, my shirt was covered in blood.
CardiacKintsugi · 61-69, F
among other things, there was a train wreck that just missed squishing my sister. the most terrifying moment ....
ForesakenSoul · 46-50, M
I've seen my own death. Witnessed horrors beyond describing. But for me. It's simply knowing. I have no more chance at true peace or love
ForesakenSoul · 46-50, M
@Jenny1234 It sucks. If I was just not quite as against the idea. And have tried twice before. I'd eat my gun. I really thought about it. And 6 years. Completely wasted. I'm too burnt to even care anymore about the fact I got boned. X
Jenny1234 · 51-55, F
@ForesakenSoul what else can you predict?
ForesakenSoul · 46-50, M
@Jenny1234 That most people don't want to be in things for the long haul
Reject · 26-30, M
Anything as a kid.
InvictusIndigo · 22-25, M
@Reject What happened that made your childhood so scary?
Reject · 26-30, M
@InvictusIndigo I was just a scaredy cat. Nothing happened other than being young and not knowing any better. The patterns in wood used to scare me because I’d see faces in them.

Smashed by a Typhoon in 2004.
InvictusIndigo · 22-25, M
@scorpiolovedeep I'm terrified of natural disasters like this, but being in the middle of them and having your life threatened by them?? God bless you
scorpiolovedeep · 46-50, M
First one - no power for more than a week , sheltered by boss in their apartment (we slept in the makeshift living / balcony ) …

Second … roofs flying like kites , trees trashed everywhere .. witnessed it all.
Gusts in excess of 180 mph

Yes, blessed.

Synyster · 51-55, M
When I was 24 years old I was rushed to ER for alcohol poisoning.Three of us drank 6×1.4 liter Jack Daniel bottles that day.

I passed out in the middle of the night and could not be woken up. My girlfriend and my buddy drove me to ER, my body had gone into hyperthermia on the way to the hospital and I was barely breathing.

Obviously they got me into ER on time, but the doctor said I was minutes from possibly dying.
babieseatcrap · 41-45, M
spinning in a circle in my car on interstate was raining and cars in front got almost killed and so then almost killed me and semi trucks roaring by on both sides and blowing horns that was kinda funny cuz like i totally would have stopped my car from spinning in the rain on the interstate at like 70 mph if i could have very lucky and everyone else ok also

greenmountaingal · 70-79, F
@Muthafukajones According to surveys I've read about, drowning is the most common fear.
ravenwind43 · 51-55, F
Getting struck by a tree and ending up scarred. Could have been killed. It was scary as hell. Over it now. lol
ravenwind43 · 51-55, F
@InvictusIndigo Yes indeed! my right calf is permanently scarred.

@InvictusIndigo Thank you:)
Allelse · 36-40, M
My childhood wasn't much fun, but that was scary all the time, the most sudden terror I've ever felt was slipping over a waterfall in the dark.
My mom nearly dying and being on a ventilator
ForesakenSoul · 46-50, M
@ExperienceDLT I genuinely believe that. Thank you. You'll be ok. Remember that. You carry her always. In your heart. Here. Or no. And she's always with you. Now and forever.
Jenny1234 · 51-55, F
@ExperienceDLT did your mom recover?
@Jenny1234 yes but she still has alot of health issues still bith my parents have health problems so I help them alot
WhateverWorks · 36-40
Probably almost getting hit by a train and hanging from a cliff that was several stories high for dear life.
Dainbramadge · 56-60, M
@WhateverWorks what was the train doing that high off the ground?
WhateverWorks · 36-40
Some friends and I were having a fire on the beach when we realized the tide had risen over the way we got in, so we had to climb the cliff to the tracks. As we were walking the tracks back to the parking lot the train came heh. Good times 😬😅 @Dainbramadge
Someone having an attempt at my life.
InvictusIndigo · 22-25, M
@AwakeningConfession221122 I'm glad you're still here :)
greenmountaingal · 70-79, F
@AwakeningConfession221122 I get it. Someone tried to kill me once and it was scary.

In hindsight, I’ve never been through anything genuinely scary. Just alarming or stressed moments.

Idk. Overdoses aren't much fun. Nearly drowning wasn't either.

But I'm gonna say that the scariest thing that ever happened to me was the other day when my sister was in hospital giving birth to my nephew.

She had to go into surgery, due to some kind of complication, and I've never felt worse than I did until I heard that she and the baby were fine.
