@iamnikki the last time I looked up tickets for a weekend imax 3D. I don’t get excited about the theater unless I’m getting some cool glasses out of it. 😄
I paid what I thought was an eyewatering amount for tickets to a London concert next month, but apparently Americans are buying tickets for European venues, flying out and staying in hotels, and still finding it cheaper. It's a pity for the young genuine fans whose families can't afford these prices.
@SunshineGirl good memories of that difference between the US and UK. 50 plus years ago I spent some USAF time at RAF Mildenhall and occasionally took the train into London for a weekend and over just a few months took in all the big Broadway shows for what amounted to pocket change. A couple of years later was living in NYC and checked ticket prices and yea, Super-Saver airfare plus hotel plus dinner plus ticket prices to see the same shows in London was cheaper than taking the subway for dinner and theater on broadway.
For a little contrast, 40 Years ago I took the kids to see Michael Jackson on their Liberty Tour at Arrowhead and as I recall, ticket prices were $50, which I thought were highway robbery,
@Mamapolo2016 I have a friend who took her daughter to, i believe UK, to attend the "Swiftee" concert. I believe it cost about that much, but included air and land arrangements.
When the Beatles played in Toronto in 1965 I think tickets were $4.00, and they were arguably the biggest band in the world at the time. I definitely understand inflation but that's a bit ridiculous.
