My friends and i stayed in a hotel together, but we ended up getting in trouble and staff told my mom she had to stay in an adjoining room or we couldn’t stay. Then the next day my dad took us to a mystery murder dinner show.

dunno what that is. At 16 I had no understanding of sex or masturbation or the whole girlfriend/boyfriend thing, if that's what 'sweet 16' is meant to mean. I was in year 10 when I was 16 and did nothing but study....... Never helped me. When I finished high school in year 12 at 18 I was fully burnt out. Sex was not something I knew anything about then.

Google seems to indicate it's a big cultural thing in the USA where a girl is considered 'coming of age' at 16. Never knew.

Nope, I went to the beach with my family and close friends , then home to watch criminal minds which was my favourite show at the time

Nah. But I dragged to a dinner with my wife's family when she turned 16, ugh, it was awful. Her family is the worst. They gave us tickets to some play in a tiny performance hall, WHERE ALL THE ACTORS SCREAMED THEIR LINES AT THE TOP OF THEIR VOICES!!!! AAAARRRRGHHHHHH!!!!.
