My birthday is the day before New Year's Eve, so it's usually combined with celebrating New Year's with friends. It's an excuse to have fun, so I'd say I do still enjoy it.

I like other peoples', completely indifferent to my own.
But if I get a home made present or card from one of the children I am very happy 🤗

Not really I don't have anybody to spend it with and besides my parents I'm not sure about anything you see I do live alone now so October is going to be a very quiet month. Don't get me started on Christmas

@Casheyane I have actually spent quite a bit of time on and off with my parents throughout the years and later in life we have become a lot closer and I am fully aware that's fact one day they will not be here it would be very tough yes but the good thing is I have time and I have been prepared for that but the fact is since you want to point out facts my mother lives all the way in North Carolina my dad is in Key West I am in North Florida I will be in the house by myself for both my birthday and Christmas nobody in the vicinity celebrate with no dog no cat no closest Associates there it is

@KingofBones1 I hear you. I hope surprising friends come your way.
KingofBones1 · 46-50, M
@Casheyane thank you I really do appreciate that and that was very sweet of you to say. I hope that many blessings and many Smiles come your way as well

Excitement is not the word I would use but I don’t take them for granted nowadays either.
Casheyane · 31-35, F
@cherokeepatti What word is fitting for it then?
SJones48 · 41-45, M

I've never liked celebrating my birthday, I just don't like attention
DarthInvader · 36-40, M
Oof. Maybe if I had kids that would plan something special for me. But as it stands.... Nyet.
Casheyane · 31-35, F
@DarthInvader I hope they do. Or if they don't, start the plan yourself.
I know I used to pretend I didn't like it when my dad wanted us to go out and do something as a family. But the thing is, those days...those days are priceless.

No excitement. My birthday is Thanksgiving Day this year.
DearAmbellina2113 · 41-45, F
Not excited. But I do buy myself a little cake every year. 🧁
Casheyane · 31-35, F
@DearAmbellina2113 What flavor?
Iwillwait · M

No it's just another day of the week
Hell nah! I get anxious to even think about it. Like...did I accomplish anything? Any plans? Also getting old. 😕
Casheyane · 31-35, F
@mindstruggle How old are you if I may ask? We seem to be in the same age group.
Musicman · 61-69, M
I did three years ago. Then my wife accidentally hurt her legs and my entire birthday got cancelled. I had an epic birthday planned.
Justmeraeagain · 56-60, F
@Musicman I hope her physical therapy goes well and she's feeling better soon
Musicman · 61-69, M
@Justmeraeagain Thank you very much 😊
