why is usa highest death from covid?

Usa richest country with many hospitals, so why highest covid death, over one million, make no sense
Torsten · 36-40, M
maybe the death numbers are fabricated for political gain? they certainly love to politicize covid there
Torsten · 36-40, M
@PicturesOfABetterTomorrow that is a interesting theory except again you avoided the question. Where in what I wrote does that make me persecuted or a victim?
@Torsten It has nothing to do with a theory. It is a fact based on observing your behavior here.

The government didn't want people to be treated for the virus. They chose and enforced all the wrong treatments and punished any doctor who tried to act otherwise. They also fudged the numbers making the disease seem much deadlier than it actually was. Then it blamed many vax deaths on the disease as well.
hippyjoe1955 · 61-69, M
@ElwoodBlues And your etch a sketch proves?????? Too funny. Run along son. You simply are too gullible to have a discussion with.

He’s got his reality distortion field set on high again. Lol FYI @soar2newhighs

Similar to the reasons why the death rate in the UK was among the highest in Europe. Lack of political decisiveness and leadership, leading to patchy and reluctant compliance with medical protocols. High levels of social and economic inequality, manifested in appalling health outcomes, which made those those who caught covid more susceptible to death.
I think it's because the USA has large amounts of two things:
(1) Covid testing
(2) Vaccine refuseniks.

Only wealthy developed nations can afford to accurately test for Covid. Among these wealthy developed nations, the USA stands out by having large segments of the population in denial of science, including evolution, climatology, and epidemiology.

I'm sure there are poorer nations with higher Covid death rates, but they can't accurately measure the Covid deaths. Among nations that can measure accurately, the US has the largest proportion of deniers.

OK, now it's time for conspiracy theorist replies!! Whaddaya got??

DeluxedEdition · 26-30, F
None of the Covid numbers made any sense.
The whole time we were the state with the most cases meanwhile our local hospitals stayed empty. We were taking care of Covid in rehabs and nursing homes blocking off units designated for Covid patients. Most of them survived

The only time our local hospital was full with Covid was when the second strain hit. The one with the “ d “ I don’t even remember there were so many imo was the most deadly it seemed like. It was killing people with diabetes and heart issues of various ages.

The one with the d was when we started seeing very bloody deaths. Patients projectile vomiting blood until they aspirated. It happened three times in one month three different patients. It was a very horrific and traumatic time
Fairydust · F
@DeluxedEdition

Don’t you think that because they were vaccinated, It’s weakened their immune system, the vaccinated get sicker now with covid.
I had it and didn’t even know I had it until my daughter whose vaccinated told me she had it? She was really poorly with it.

@Fairydust the expose,is not a good source for news
ngurla · 22-25, F
in veitnam people do die from covid, people tak it very seriously
Carazaa · F
The USA has not had the highest covid by far, its has had a few because it's a big country.
@Carazaa They don't have higher covid deaths overall. That is the point. That dubious title goes to the USA. And that will not change no matter how you play with statistics.
@Carazaa You did terrible. And until you stop pretending otherwise you will have millions and millions die for nothing when the next one happens.

This is not something you can just pretend didn't happen.
Carazaa · F
@PicturesOfABetterTomorrow You are lying and ignorant of the fact that many smaller countries had higher death rates as I showed you, and the USA is a country like no other it is a melting pot and many didn't get vaccinated against our governments recomendations. I am blocking you because you lie, you harassing me, you are abusive and wont leave me alone.
graphite · 61-69, M
Because we ramped up the largest testing program on the face of the Earth. More tests, more positives. Don't believe for a minute that we had more cases than China.
Carazaa · F
@graphite Sweden keeps immaculate records, of sickness and deathrate. There are only 9 million in Sweden and they have records OCD, they are Social democratic and believe in freedom and equality. The population is highly educated. So they protect themselves without needing any restrictions. I am impressed with the USA though because they were quicker with vaccines than Sweden, which is impressive.
@Carazaa You are still ignoring the fact that that policy was a failure long term. Guess that doesn't fit your feelings.

And of course your other example The US economy contracted and still was worth United States was worth 20936.60 billion US dollars in 2020.

Peru is 380 billion.

North Macedonia 30 billion.
Carazaa · F
@PicturesOfABetterTomorrow Sorry if you have had a bad day. 😔 I hope you have a nice evening. I don't understand why you are being so aggressive. Take care.
2cool4school · 46-50, F
@Confined you’re watching too much TV lol
Shaveit · 61-69, M
Because the US lies to scare you. There was so much fake reporting here. People in car wrecks and other accidents, and violent crimes where reported as covid deaths because the government paid health care facilities for positive test results. If they would have payed for negative test reporting, the US would have the lowest numbers!
CestManan · 46-50, F
@Shaveit Though this is satire but kind of like this unfortunate man?

Fabricated numbers.
@PicturesOfABetterTomorrow if you say so and it assuages you so be it.
@soar2newhighs It's true. I am sorry you are so married to worshiping an orange con man that you deny reality.

In fact the only evidence of doctored numbers were In Florida where Desantis tried to falsify numbers to be lower.
@PicturesOfABetterTomorrow If you say so. You’re obviously an expert and know it all.
Because only in America are enough people dumb enough to politicize a global pandemic.
2cool4school · 46-50, F
Poor response to the pandemic 😷 weak mask mandates and often when enforced it was too late
Singapore was very strict and they benefited from that approach. I’m just not sure if society myself included would have been able to handle a strict response ie China 🇨🇳. I don’t want to think about it coming to that in the future but there’s a greater chance of that now more than ever before.
Namor69 · 41-45, M
Also the prevention and censoring of effective EARLY treatments from the onset!!
Lilymoon · F
They didn't enforce mask wearing and social distancing enough. 🤷‍♀️
SW-User
That's only if you believe the fake news and hyped up numbers.
Just look at the responses here and you'll see why.
MarineBob · 56-60, M
@doong Wearing masks and keeping distance equals "stealing" an election??

Look, I know Trump told you he couldn't lose, but in 61 different court cases in 61 different jurisdictions with different judges, Trump's teams of lawyers failed to present ANY evidence of fraud. You know more than all Trump's teams of lawyers? Riiiiiiight

And in recounts and signature audits after the election, ZERO evidence of fraud was found.

So now you're proposing a GiAnT CoNsPiRaCy?? Riiiiiiight
doong · 56-60, M
@ElwoodBlues The failure to win it in the court room is prove that the misused is 100% success.
@doong I assume you meant to say Trump's failure is proof, not 'is prove.' Proof means all other explanations have been eliminated; no other possibilities exist.

But what you're really telling us is that your narrow mind is unable to conceive of any other explanation for Trump losing the election and all 61 court cases. SAD!

Some cons believe the Dems masterminded a plot to fake millions of ballots for thousands of jurisdictions, sneak them into hundreds of counting centers, evading tens of thousands of watchful eyes, and not slip up once. Also that the Dems forgot to cheat downballot and control the Senate overwhelmingly. Plus, these cons believe the Dems are not competent to run a lemonade stand. No, I can't explain their cognitive dissonance.

There was an election to steal
Something to keep in mind. At the outset of the virus, many hospital admissions though not related to or the result of where death occurred were ruled and very likely counted as Covid deaths.
@soar2newhighs Possibly. But a year's worth of death data doesn't support the "mis-classification" theory.

Here in the table are US death numbers for the top ten causes of death for six years ending in 2020. Notice how there are 20% more deaths in 2020 than the average of the previous five years? Doing the math, that's 500,000 excess deaths in 2020.

Notice how, in 2020, 345,000 of those 500,000 excess deaths are classified as Covid? Notice how almost all causes of death rose in 2020, including cancer & heart disease?
https://jamanetwork.com/journals/jama/fullarticle/2778234

If there's any validity to the claim that lots of deaths have been mis-classified as Covid, why did almost all causes of death increase in 2020? Wouldn't mis-classification produce a reduction in those other causes? The evidence says mis-classification is a red herring.
MarkPaul · 26-30, M
The USA has the least amount of government intervention much to the despair of some which has prevented widespread application of the COVID vaccine. In addition, there has become an entrenched segment of the population that has backed themselves into taking a stand against taking the vaccine as some kind social statement, similar to the way some kids take to wearing their pants hung low below their asses prison-style because they think it makes them look cool and tough.

So, it's a sad commentary on American society and cultural trends in general, but it completely makes sense why the case count is so high.
2cool4school · 46-50, F
@hippyjoe1955 I never mentioned anything about articles that I can’t remember. That’s all you. I wasn’t even able to read yesterday. Today’s sources are cited at the bottom. Pretty standard. Guess your GI Bill didn’t let you attend a modern university or maybe you just made that up too. Again I’m sorry that you have such a sad and pathetic life. But I’m confident that you can fix that in a bang As they say.

It makes sense when you see that the "case numbers" are based on fraudulent tests. Statistical manipulation. The question is.....why?
They’re a bit self obsessed, so the idea of having to make small changes for the good of their communities is abhorrent to them.
I don’t know but I’m sure this question will lead to the usual fights…..oh wait.
Fairydust · F
It’s a lie, many didn’t die from covid.

Because we’re all fat

It was the neofascist cult that did that
ViciDraco · 36-40, M
The hospitals are expensive and were unprepared. Half the country decided to live like nothing was going on and took pretty much no precautions at all.
CestManan · 46-50, F
@ViciDraco Part of that is because the media has been constantly trying to scare people with health issues for decades.
Even really weird stuff like bird flu, anthrax, all these mosquito diseases, we are all obese and have type 2 diabetes...
Of course they bring in these "Authorities" on the matter to push fear. It reminds me of that actual doctor on TV who says, "These diet pills really work!"

I mean after a while people get to be like, "Yeah whatever". You can hear "Wolf!" and be scared only so many times.
Justenjoyit · 61-69, M
Probably like in the UK because of the excessive workload during the highs of the virus they just put a lot of deaths down as covid.

@tindrummer yeah I’m gonna have to remember that. No fun and not in touch with reality and logic. I feel so badly for his family too. I’d probably off myself too.
