Things to do when severely depressed?

Feels like it is spiraling out of control. Any tips you guys have for me I can do myself to help?

If you can, establish a routine..I know it sounds weird, but shower daily, try to eat healthier, and if you can, go for a nice walk. Nature can do wonders.

I have a video I would like to share. i watched it over a week ago because i was completely desperate for help for my intense depression and the video has quite literally changed my life as i began to do the little things that were suggested. The man speaking is a licensed psychologist who teaches you how to develop skills that help you cope with depression. the video is very long but i feel if you genuinely want the help the time will not matter to you.

I force myself to do something that will be beneficial, like today I grabbed a book and started reading, learning for me is a passion, it helped me to achieve other things today and feel ok.

But ofc when it's too overwhelming all I have to feel it... Until it gets a bit better. Like a storm that leaves my mind.

Well, I’m not one to ask this cause I go through bad episodes of depression, I had one a couple days ago, but taking a shower helped, keeping your mind occupied with a chore like doing your bed or taking out the trash…
