Diets SUCK

Week three of keto diet and the desire for carbs has not slowed. I’m down 18 pounds, but man I’d do awful things for a pizza..🤣

Did you find keto sustainable? I have lost weight now minimizing some carbs ..but mostly I lessened 300 to 500 calories a day. I don't know I could do such minimal carbs!

@Coralmist, it is not sustainable in its pure form for me. I’ve found that if I eat clean all week and give myself a cheat day on the weekends, I do good.

@Coralmist I have been keto for nearly three years now. For me it was a choice of being diabetic and taking meds my whole life, or go keto and reverse my situation. I suppose that my love of fish, meat, cheese, veg and spices helps me stay on course.

I have made a cauliflower crust twice and a zucchini crust too. I like the zucchini crust a lot more but don’t hear much about those.

@VisionQuest grate it up like cauliflower and press the liquid out in a towel like you do with the cauliflower. I found the recipe on Pinterest. Zucchini doesn’t have that burpy factor that cauliflower does. The cauliflower crust tasted good but the after-burp is not good for me. The more cauliflower I’ve eaten the worse I like it because of that.

It's not a style that can be maintained for too long, but teaches you to stay for the most part in a low carb option.

Keto is awesome, i have a cheat meal once a week just because, keeps me from goin insane
Diets are fake. People always think once you like reach your goal weight that you can stop. Nope. You literally have to be on that diet for the rest of your life to even have a chance of maintaining that weight loss. Not to mention your metabolism is going to slow as you age and there go those goalposts.

@3Dogmatic I think some stores are selling keto crust-pizzas, I know some are selling gluten-free. The cauliflower crust pizza is pretty good but I have other ones I like better.

@3Dogmatic here’s another idea. I’ve made a few different types of keto crusts including cauliflower, zucchini, fathead etc.

Make yourself a pizza bowl... mix any ingredients you'd put on the pizza into a bowl, sprinkle a little cheese and sauce on top. Might have to make your own sauce to avoid sugar
