Deaf would probably be a better match because of lifestyle, but if you love someone I guess it wouldn't really matter.

What about someone who's both? Or why not someone who's deaf in one ear, but can hear out of the other? Or even someone who's blind in one eye, but can see out of the other.

deaf, I guess. i'm a traveller, travelling with a blind person would be weird. also I think so much talking is useless jiberish just to fill the silence. I imagine with a deaf person we would write notes and use sign language and we would keep it down to the essential and focus more on just being together. I am more into experiencing the bliss of the present moment, words get boring after a while. I love hanging out with dogs for that reason. no talking, just enjoying the moment together.
