Netherlands, Spain, Portugal, Ireland, Malaysia, Philippines, Vietnam, Norway, Sweden, Finland, Iceland, Canada, Australia, New Zealand, Costa Rica, Ecuador...any country that has universal healthcare, good public transit, reasonable safety, healthy food, a sense of community. All things the U.S. lacks.

It was only for one year when I was thirteen.
Papa was a doctor with MSF there.
I did not like being an object of curiosity - the only white girl in the school - and was unhappy. After that I was sent to a boarding school in France, and continued to live in France until my thirties.
