Ya'll are crazy. When you guys feel something, you guys automatically go towards it. Smh. Micronesians and black people run in the other direction. Curiosity doesn't only kill cats.
I’ve heard of stories from my parents who immigrated to the US. They swore they heard and saw spirits when they were young. Our country over there didn’t have much electricity back then, so paranormal stuff were common. I’ve yet to experience anything, but I can’t say with certainty that there isn’t. I think it’s out there and we don’t know what it is.
@Dethmoore I know you heard of Sherlock Holmes the fictional detective. He had a lot of sayings about evidence and deductions. Hated to guess. Strange thing is the author was open to weird stuff and was fooled by young girls faking a photograph..
No I do not believe in supernatural events or entities.....
.... but....
... I do accept people sometimes have uncanny experiences, and some ascribe those to "ghosts" simply for being alarming and of no obvious or simple explanation at the time.
I think hypnagogic dreams come into this category, as their effects are common, anecdotal "ghost story" themes.
I enjoy good ghost stories, as entertaining fiction; but am also curious about the genuine causes of real experiences.
I Have no experience of spirits but Im open minded , who could have forseen radio waves and pictures flashed live around the world ,you would have burnt at the stake for suggesting that a few hundred years ago.
@Umile I think most people have experienced the normal phenomena of thinking they see a person, say in the middle of the night or when they just wake up, only to discover it's the laundry. People want to believe there is more out there, but there ain't.
@Umile I fell asleep before I could answer this, unfortunately. I've been to a couple of places that were haunted. One, I was told had ghosts. One, I was not.
As some folks know, I went to grown-up time out, as I like to call it. One of the places I went during my incarceration was the Eastern Oregon Correctional Institution. It's a prison made from an old mental hospital that was built on an Indian burial ground. That is such a recipe for a haunted place that even horror movie writers avoid it. One of the spirits who live there is an old man who sits on a balcony that's been closed off for decades, just sits there in his wheelchair. I looked up at that balcony, and I could sense him and describe his physical appearance, but I couldn't see him. It was so weird.
@Umile A dissertation is the paper a university grad student writes to earn their Honors. I'd like to share it publicly, but I need to get a copywrite on it first.
@LordShadowfire mmmhmm. Not exactly true. But for that kind of situation, yes. Black people kind of think like Micronesians and Mexicans. We're crazy but sensible like that i guess.
