Is there a God?

Do you think he exists or not?
Ducky · 31-35, F
My god is the sun, so there’s no dispute about his existence for me.
Ducky · 31-35, F
@Vector The sun is the bestower of light and life to the totality of the cosmos; with his unblinking, all-seeing eye, he is the stern guarantor of justice; with the almost universal connection of light with enlightenment or illumination, the sun is the source of wisdom. 🙏☀
Vector · 41-45, M
@Ducky again so beautiful, thank you for your insight and wisdom :-)
Carazaa · F
@Ducky Be careful because only Jehovah answers your prayers, not the sun!
Carazaa · F
Yes, absolutely! No question about it!
LordShadowfire · 46-50, M
@Carazaa Still waiting on that evidence. Just sayin'.
Carazaa · F
@LordShadowfire What is more complicated, DNA , a watch, or the solar system?
LordShadowfire · 46-50, M
@Carazaa What does that have to do with the evidence you refuse to provide?
I believe in ghosts, aliens and Santa so there for I have to believe in god, even if I’m not religious.
LordShadowfire · 46-50, M
@Gingerbreadspice Not necessarily. The existence of ghosts does not require the existence of a god.
@LordShadowfire I feel I have to include everyone.
Peaceandnamaste · 26-30, F
Which god? There's infinite amounts of them?
Are you talking about the god of the Bible?
laotzu92 · M
I would not try to persuade you one way or the other but this essay from The Free Press,
"How Intellectuals Found God", might be helpful to you.

@laotzu92
But I also pointed out the inapplicability of your "response"...
That is your opinion.
...you are definitely worthy of the most sever ad hominems imaginable.
And here we see you doubling down on a logical fallacy after I pointed out that it was fallacious. This tells me that you have no desire of an honest discussion.
laotzu92 · M
@CorvusBlackthorne It may be insulting to point out someone's filings but not fallacious. And I have no desire of a discussion with you.
CorvusBlackthorne · 100+, M
@laotzu92 You choose to ignore my statement regarding your positive assertion, sir. That is your fallacy.
Define god. I am polytheist. I believe in gods, but not the Judeo-Christian/ Islamic god.
Heavenlywarrior · 36-40, M
Ask your self what is “God”?

@jshm2 Fascinating. Evidence?
Vector · 41-45, M
@SStarfish i hope so my friend :-)
hunkalove · 61-69, M
Lots of gods. Even the Judeo/Christian/Muslim god says there are other gods. But no god created anything. There is an intelligence in the universe that created itself and we are part of it. Even seeds know when to grow.

If our GrandioseOverlorD (GOD) is real? Why would that entity give even one shit about the ants humans would be to it?
Therefore either way what's the difference?
Adogslife · 61-69, M
Of course there’s a God.

The Bible says so.
LordShadowfire · 46-50, M
@Adogslife Bible also says it's okay to own slaves.
Adogslife · 61-69, M
@LordShadowfire LSF, I can’t stand religion. My respose was simply sarcasm.

One God , many gods, SSDD.
LordShadowfire · 46-50, M
@Adogslife Sorry, kind of a kneejerk reaction, lol.
lonelyloner · 31-35, F
when you are in danger he exists , when you are relax he is no more
Bignakedguy · 31-35, M
Due to a certain experience I had back in 04- I like to think so.
Adstar · 56-60, M
Yes there is a God

He is the God who introduced Himself to Abraham..
mindless · M
Gods exist for those who believe in them... I don't
Zonuss · 46-50, M
Most definitely.
ViciDraco · 36-40, M
I went looking for reasons to believe and have thus far come up empty handed. So I do not think a god exists.
Yes. It's hard to explain the way the universe is as a fluke
Donotfolowme · 51-55, F
There is God.
DDonde · 31-35, M
CorvusBlackthorne · 100+, M
There is a gentleman who rules the universe. However, I do not think that is what you meant.
mindless · M
@CorvusBlackthorne Elon musk?
CorvusBlackthorne · 100+, M
@mindless Hardly. If you have read the works of Douglas Adams, you will know the gentleman of whom I speak.

You see, many years ago, it was determined that anyone wishing to rule the universe was automatically unqualified for the position and should never be allowed near it, and so they had to find someone in the universe who not only did not want the position, but did not realise he had it.

He lives with his cat on an uncharted planet, the location of which only a few the universe know. Trusted advisors come to his cave once per galactic month with supplies, and ask him for advice.
LordShadowfire · 46-50, M
It's complicated.
Musicman · 61-69, MVIP
Yes! Absolutely! No doubt about it. 🙂
